This looks so much like a loop I have been to, I believe it was Miss Storks from the 1900's

She had taken in peculiar children with disabilities and peculiars that aged forward and could not take care of themselves, she is a lovely woman

Honestly, it is one of the sweetest loops I have gone to, I was sent by Miss Peregrine to escort a young girl to join the loop, I believe her name was Abigail, I don't remember her peculiarity exactly but I do remember it being very self-destructive, she was always in a hazmat suit

the briks had nearly cost one of my couins his life (thats a story for another time)

heres the story:

so we are kids, so we are dumb and given that the adults trusted us to be eachothers impuls controle we did the oposite and egged eachothe more.

our first cabin was taken down by the army after the first body, and we the rebelious little shits that we were didn't like that so we decided to rebuilt it and this time it was gonna be bigger and we were gonna paint the walls.

the first cabin was clearly made by kids, the walls where off and the seeling was just some wood pieces we could lift with our kiddie bodies while runnig from their owners. everything we had used was either stolen or 'temporarely borowed'.

we redid that but we pitched together some pocket moner to buy some decorations we liked, adding to it the money the old granies and grampas they liked to give us and we had nearly imptied the store from the village near by.

that village was a toristic hot spot given that it faced the sea, so a lot of rich people where buying property there to built summer houses. so we took the opertunity and woke up before dawn to get there before the workers to steal some of what they had left behind, just what we could cary with us without slowing us too much.

by luch we would stach our houl and go down to eat as if nothing happened. we continued like that for a good three weeks.

on the first day of the forth week of our operation, we got caught by some drunk guy who coulldn't go back home the night before. he though that we were some bandits or something so he took an ax and started running after us. we skatered like rats, runnign around and making sure that the younger ones were safe.

unfortunatedly, while a cousine of mine was trying to help his sister get over a wall, he got caught by the guy. we though him dead, even the boy no older than 7 had that resined look on his face. but then another cousine of mine had taken a shovel and hit him with it on the back of his head, knocking him out cold.

you can bet your ass that we never went near that construnction site ever again.

the ax had nicked the boy when the men fell on top of him, a good gash on his left arm. he needed 4 stiches and couldn't move his hand freely for the rest of the summer. his good now, and he likes to tell the story behind it every time someone askes about the scar.

i remebre telling the adults that we had gonne to fight the street dogs to assest out superiority and that some old man tried to help us but got the boy by accident. we got grounded for two whole years with cleaning the cows and the hen house. worst summers of my life.

but we did get our cabine, it was better made since we bribed some older cousins with helping us. we painted it red on the outside and light blue on the inside to keep the hot air out . we built a big window that was from the ground up to the oldests head and coverd with an old peice of cloth and it was well lite with electric little lenternes from ramadan and candels used for weddings.

a month letter we found the body of some middle aged man inside and some slodiers took the whole thing down. we put hot pepper inside their shoes and glue on their hats for revenge. they dared to let their guard down after ruining our hard work and darring to taste aunt nabila's fruit juice with no remors. we were such little shits

i have other childhood memories like this one, so if anyone wants i can add them here

hello, my little cousin here insistes that i have to chare this story with other people because quote 'when your older, your mom lore's gonna be insane'. so here i am charing a little tid bit about what ususally goes in our incestral little vilage.

for contecst, we are from what i think is an ethnic group in english in north africa. they were the very first people to live there. so, every year during any vacation be it the big summer one or the ones for the holydays, we go to our village up in the mountains were all the familly gathers around to celebrate or relax from city life.

we are all related to eachother somehow, so it is no suprise that us kids would gather together and play all around the mountain and it's forest all day long without supervision. the closest village to ours is 3 hours by car so it is pretty safe for us reckless gremlins to run around and the forest is prety tame with the most dangerous animals to be found is street dogs that don't come out until midnight.

one day we kids went to the neighboring vilage in secret to steel some construnction materials to built a little cabin as our 'base of meischief' like vilains do in cartoons. what we didn't know at the time was that the place we decided to make our own was a su!ic!de hot spot were even the army had to check every few mounths for corpses (why tf they didn't put any signs or warnings is beyond me).

so we built in at the begining of summer, then we all went back to our homes near the begining of the school year. the youngest of us was i think 6 at the time. the next summer the second we all got to the village we ran all the way to our cabin to check if the adults who stay in the winter found it. what we found inside was the corps of a young women barely 20 hanging from a plank of wood we put up as a seeling. to say that we were traumatized would be like saying the sun is bright. we ran back down the mountain like the devil was on our heels and screamed to high hell, no one could understand what we were saying from how much we where crying. two hours later the army came by and took the corps of the women away

we didn't step a foot inside our cabin until the next summer. i was dared by a cousin to get inside and see if it were hounted by the spirite of the lady, and i, the prideful brat that i was went there with a broom, a buket and some soup, playing it off as if i wasn't quivering in my shoes and telling them that i was gonna clean the bad vibe away.

right as i opended the door, i throw the bucket with the soupy water, closed my eyes and started scrubing the floor while chanting some prayers i had heard the old grannies say when someone died. an hour later and everyone startes helping me clean. the bastards had the guts to throw salt at me when i went out and started screaming at them to help me.

after that we went to playing like normale. the summer after that i thing i was 9ish if not 10, we found the body of an old man who shot himself and left a big hole in one of the walls. the funny thing was that this time no one was scarred just angry at the man for damaging our hard work, it had taken us weeks to figur out how to messur them and to get the sement at the right consistency and the bricks had nearly cost one of my couins his life (thats a story for another time)

we draged the body out and went on our mary way like nothing had happended. we called the cops at night so that they wouldn't bother us too much.

two weeks later we went to another village for a wedding and stayed there for a good mounth helping with the preparetions, when we got back we only had one day left of our vacation so we decided to spend in in our spote, and lo and behold a young man dead inside. we where so done with this that we didn't even bother doing anything, just went back down and played in the forest with the older kids.

we forgot about the body.

the next year, we went up and started smelling something fool. i think we all throw up at one point as we got closer. it is not until i was near the door that one of my cousins screamed at me to get away and reminded us of what we had left there. for a good 6 mounth, the body stayed there rotting and decaying. we called the authorities and they where kind enough to bring a specialist to clean the place for us.

and so, every now and then. we find a body and forget about it.

you may ask "why didn't they take down your cabine?" or "why didn't the adults do anything about this?"

and to answer your question:

-they did take it down, we just kept steeling things and re-building it. after the 8th time they left it alone and just cleaned it for us if the body was old

-as for how the army didn't sheck the spot for six months, they though that if people found the cabin then they would think that someone lives inside and leav it as is. but they where wrong and poeple are rude as fuck.

-during the winter, is is nearly impossible to get to our spot because of all the snow and how gaged the way up is people just don't bother. it's only during the summer that it becomes possible to get there so yeah. when it's our play time it's dy!ng time for others

-no one of the adults know the whole thing. they think that is was a two time thing. they don't know about the other times.

to clarifie, the top of the mountain is a good hour away by foot from the village so were pretty much alone there.

now i am 18 and we have until now forgoten 5 bodies and didn't forget 14. very good statistics if you ask me ;)

the thing is that childhood doesn't just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it's going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it's going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you've suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself

My First Experience On A Writing Website

Aside from online journals and diaries, my first experience on a writing website was Associated Content (later known as Yahoo! Contributor Network). I submitted a few articles here and there in 2009, and in 2010, I decided to start writing and submitting articles to AC/YCN weekly. I’m not going to lie and say that I made a ton of money off those articles. I received upfront payments for a lot of them, as well as monthly payments for article views. What I really received from my time on AC/YCN was (freelance) writing experience. My articles were mainly things such as “Top 5 Toys For Infants” and “5 Craft Ideas For Valentine’s Day” because those were familiar topics for me. My late Father introduced me to “Top X” articles, and I knew of craft projects because I used to work with children. Other topics were local and seasonal, from museums in my area to autumn-themed activities. Even when I moved on from submitting articles for upfront payments to working on other websites, I would still receive a little each month for views, so I thought that was cool. I did try out other websites, such as Triond and Bukisa, but I still preferred Associated Content. Associated Content/Yahoo! Contributor Network has been gone for several years now, but I’m grateful for my time on that website. I feel it helped me to learn and grow as a writer, and I got my feet wet in freelance writing.

Where did you first get your start in freelance writing? If you’re just getting started, keep at it. I know you can gain experience, grow as a writer and reach your goals. :)

Auditory memories are officially the Worst category of memory. Also- extremely odd to hear what I sounded like as a kid, as someone who never gave that sort of detail much thought.

Earlier I got probably the most vivid (though still vague) memory of when I was a kid on the Ark.

I remember the sound of Elvis playing on a radio, echoing through the Ark, and Maria trying to help me figure out how to dance with her. She could never sit still when listening to his songs, and often listened to them much louder than the Professor liked.

I can't remember the last time I listened to Elvis, but listening to them now... these songs now have a sound of nostalgia they didn't have before.

Had a memory of listening to music with Maria, so, I decided to make a playlist of the songs I listened to or would've liked back then. I made myself one for more modern stuff, but.. it's nice to listen to the same songs we used to.

I remembered my home, recently. I don't know why, but I never really thought about if I had one. It was a bit later in life, while I was living in Green Hill, but it was nice. I lived there with Rouge, for a little while, until she moved in with the echidna. Is it strange that I miss it? I suppose not. At least, not any stranger than missing everything else from back then.

I also remembered the first time Sonic had ever been there. Idiot tried to race me in the rain (even though he didn't like getting wet?), and after losing several rings I figured I should probably give him a bit of mercy. I'm gonna try to recreate the hot chocolate I made at some point- it was spiced with herbs, something the Professor made for Maria and I back on the Ark. He always snuck medicinal herbs into whatever he could.

I wish I could curl up on that couch again. Listen to the radio on the kitchen counter, watching his dumb dance moves and air-guitaring.

I definitely miss that place. Lots of good memories.

I Was Looking At My Old Discord Messages With A Few Friends And Found These Pictures I Took! A Group

I was looking at my old discord messages with a few friends and found these pictures I took! A group of my friends and my sister all playing vrchat together. The hazbin hotel pic is me as Alastor my friend as moondrop and my sister and her friend both as angel dust! There’s also a photo of my discord husband and me together! I love looking at old photos and thinking we’ve all grown up so much from barely knowing each other to the best meme squad in our entire friend group. Yes I do have a bigger friend group but I mainly get along with the smaller group that I have a closer bond to.

Magnetic Rose

An acrylic paint screenshot recreation of one of the last shots from the first and arguably best short film of the sci-fi anthology anime film Memories. I know the final product looks a bit rushed when looking at the flower, but I did not know how else to finish it.

Magnetic Rose belongs to Koji Morimoto and Satoshi Kon
