Hello,
My name is CJ and I’m a trans man. I grew up in a small town in North Carolina and I still live there today. My dad is a Chilean immigrant and he came to this country when he was only 8, spending most of his life in the beautiful land of Puerto Rico. My mom grew up in Florida (where I was born) and has mainly Irish ancestry. I have two older brothers, both in college. One attends Juilliard, the other UNCC. Most of my friends are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. I also have friends who are children of immigrants, just like me.
When I was born, it was induced by medication and I was born 8 weeks early due to a disease my mom had contracted while pregnant with me. We both survived thanks to the doctors and nurses who helped my mom deliver me safely. Due to my premature birth, I have struggled my whole life with chronic illness and disability.
I am telling you all of this because I am scared. Tomorrow is November 5th, Election Day, and depending on who wins I may be in serious danger.
Please, for the sake of me, my friends, my family, the trans community, the chronically ill, the disabled community, immigrants, immigrant families, women who need access to healthcare, and EVERY. SINGLE. American citizen…

I know not many people see my posts or my page or anything but as of right now? I don't give a shit.
If you're pro-life have fun with that right now:) Cause there are a lot of people that are completely against you and will do anything and I mean ANYTHING to let you know that. This is not a threat. It is me telling you to keep an eye out.
I personally am pro-choice. That does NOT mean I am pro-abortion but I'm not against it. They took away our right to a SAFE abortion, not to abortions in general because no matter what there WILL be unsafe ones where people can die and the fetuses ( obviously ) are included. Why should old, white, cis straight men who are gonna die in a few years dictate what we should do with our bodies? I'd doesn't involve them so they don't give a shit what happens. They could be doing this because during covid over a million people died here in the US and they could wanna repopulate us pr they are just being complete jackasses who don't give a shit about the people that are already living and only about the cells that aren't even people yet.
If someone wants an abortion, let them get one! I understand that there will be people that are like "it's not just up to the woman. There is a father too." Okay? is the man ( talking about cis - trans men are men too but this targets cis men ) carrying the fetus? is it the man who has to grow it to be a human body in their stomach? Are they the ones that have to have their stomach cut open or a being pushed out of their vagina? No. Women should be the ones controlling this.
Some people may want to keep the fetus, and some may not. We are entitled to our own choices on what happens with OUR bodies. If you aren't the one carrying it, keep your opinions to yourself unless it's asked for.
Quit worrying about taking our rights from us.
You should be worrying about all the kids in foster care, adoption or orphanages. Take it from someone who was in foster care for 2 years. It is a shit place. So many houses and places will treat you like trash off the street. Adoption and orphanages are worse.
Worry about getting formula and food for the kids we ALREADY have. Worry about giving THOSE kids a better home BEFORE you start worrying about others and THEIR choices with their bodies.
There are going to be some men that think of this as a way to kee a woman to stay with him. THERE WILL BE MEN!! Who will think of this as a loophole to rape! PLEASE! PLEASE WOMEN!! PLEASE KEEP SOME SORT OF WEAPON OR PROTECTION ON YOU AT ALL TIMES!!! Make sure it is legal so you cant get into trouble.
If you plan on illegally leaving the country ( I don't advise ) please be cautious because border control HAS doubled! They can and WILL do anything they have to if it means you stay! Even murder and they can get away with it because they are the only ones that can look into it!
We WILL need to protect ourselves.

That entire first bit is you degrading women down to their basic components like a misogynist would. Why do terfs constantly insist womenhood is just “yeah womb and tits is about it” like it’s some own? Lady the patriarchy wants you to be defined by your biology cause it’s used as a weapon against women and historically has been the key point to oppression by the patriarchy.
You also don’t know anything about the titanic and you claiming the “women and children first” thing is about vulnerable class? Lady it was done that way cause of patriarchy. You as a woman under this standard is WEAK and panic prone therefore you were evacuated first cause you couldn’t handle the situation like a man would the stronger sex. It wasn’t protecting you so much as stating “women are too weak to handle this send them away to cry while MEN take care of the problems”.
You are so lost in your sauce you push the patriarchy like an incel or right winger. Go read some feminist theory and then try again cause you would get a zero in any women’s study course with this nonsense.
Women celebrating a gov looking at them and saying “you are defined BY YOUR BIOLOGICAL FUNCTION LEGALLY” should terrify all women. It’s a patriarchal statement to dehumanize women into their purely “biological” position.
It’s the same argument used to force women into being the child wrangler and keeping them out of societal positions throughout history. Why are so many women and “feminists” celebrating this like it’s some mega dunk? You are being labeled and degraded to “womb” every time you let a gov dictate your place in the world based on your “biology” as a woman and it’s disgusting and will only lead to harm for all women.
There should also be mandatory options for sedation and pain management during IUD insertions, greater funding/interest for women's reproductive health studies, and mandatory equal pay for both men and women in every state.
Misogyny as policy treats women as 'less than'.
There is no law that controls a man's body. Now do the same for women.

Get an air purifier. The Clean Air Act is likely to be stripped of its power with the EPA deregulated, air quality is going to suffer
Should you have kids, try to supplement history/social studies education. That's the first place they will attack, if you need help ask, history teacher will help
Try and do what you can to be aware of your health before January.
Help one another. That's the best way we can move forward and make change in the future.

Please remember that you aren’t alone. It might seem hard now but if we keep fighting it will eventually get better. If we just give up it encourages Trump. I know it seems hard but we are here for you. There are other people relying on you so please just live.

i am so fucking angry that roe v wade got overturned. the GOP is winning and i can't fucking stand it anymore. i am turning 18 this year and i will try my best to get those assholes out of legislature. vote blue or this country will fall.

I am a gay trans immigrant in a deep red state in America. I came here for my partner's sake and have been making the best of it. The culture shock was hard, coming from Canada. In fact, we loved mocking Americans back home so it was hard for me to even like Americans. My instinct was to judge them as stupid. But it is never fair to judge people as all the same for something they can't help like nationality.
Each day, I looked for the goodness in the hearts of Americans. I tried to see that we weren't so different. I started to meet neighbours while taking care of the stray cats. I began volunteering at the city's animal shelter to start making a change. I wanted to see other good people and feel kinship.
Seeing the election results has just... hurt me. I feel so betrayed. I step outside and now know more than half of the adults out there don't care about what happens to me. I will work alongside volunteers, wondering if any of them voted for Trump. I will watch them do good deeds for animals, and wonder, how could you vote for someone who hurt people and the planet?
People in America will lose their rights. Women, immigrants, LGBTQ+, the disabled, and minorities across the board. Wars will be funded and slaughter will increase in other countries. Pollution will skyrocket with Republicans and their love of cars and oil. That affects everyone... Haven't we had enough forest fires and storms? We cannot deny climate change any longer.
I am not running away yet. I am staying. I will not be silent. I will be openly trans. They don't see us enough. They think we are boogeymen. They don't even know us. This is why it is so important to have a Pride flag and wear Pride things. We will not hide and be scared and ashamed. We will not be erased and keep hearing lies about us from the hateful ignorant.
I will protest alone with signs. And if or when things get really bad. I will be LOUD.
Fuck everyone who voted for Trump without a care for people like me. Fuck you to hell. You have no heart. Unfollow me. I assume on Tumblr most people are Democratic so that's all good, but I just have to get this off my chest.
I don't want anything bad to happen to me, but if I disappear, this is why. Republicans are hateful and many are violent. It's not a lie when their campaigns lie and fearmonger about specific groups of people.

Happy International Women’s Day!
As we come together to celebrate the achievements of women throughout history, it’s important to remember the ongoing struggles women across the world are facing.
Today, let’s keep a special focus on all of our sisters of color, queer sisters, trans sisters, Palestinian sisters, working class sisters, disabled sisters, and sisters struggling with reproductive Justice.
We must not forget where we come from, and we must remember who we are working to protect now. I hope you all have a wonderful day - and pass along some kind words to the wonderful women in your lives!

Your political opinions do define who you are.
Republicans aim to take away the rights of women (regarding rape, abortion, etc), LGBT+ people (regarding conversion therapy, banning transgender people from the military, banning gay couples from adopting, etc), and everyone who doesn’t share their views.
Democrats do the opposite, supporting abortion and LGBT+ movements.

In Palestine, more than 9,000 women have been brutally killed by the Israeli Occupation. 63 women killed per day.
In Sudan, 4 million Sudanese women & girls are at risk of sexual violence.
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, more than 1 million women have been survivors of sexual violence.
In Turtle Island aka the so called USA, 94% of fatal violence committed again Trans people are committed against Trans women.
This isn’t about the stats, the poverty porn or the constant shock doctrine the West desperately needs in order to be inclusive. This is a call for solidarity and collective action.
Access to feminine hygiene products, bodily autonomy and the access to necessary safe and caring spaces as women are all human rights.

No, not just vote. Vote for Kamala Harris. The lives of queer, trans, afab, people of color, non-Christian religions, disabled people, literally any minority group you can think of are at stake! You don’t have to love abortion. You can dislike it. Maybe it even makes you sad. The way you view abortion is up to you.
And maybe if you don't like abortion, you spend your time advocating for proper sex education, access to birth control and other things that have been shown to lower the types of pregnancies that often result in abortion. That's fine.
But what you shouldn't be doing is disrespecting other people for having abortions. You can't take that choice away from people just because you don't like it. Your feelings aren't more important than anyone else's bodily autonomy.
You don't have to like abortion. But you definitely have to respect other people's rights and that includes their right to safe, accessible, abortions.

Something I think about a lot is how women, myself included, have been afraid of being pregnant even when we haven't had any sexual contact with a man. To me that says something but I'm not entirely sure what
We shouldn't only get involved in fights that directly affect us -we should fight for everything we believe in. I know it can sometimes be a lot. Not all communities even want help from 'outsiders'. But we have to stick together. 'Cause for everything that's different about us, there's something in common for everyone.
How can we expect ALL people to make changes for our closest causes, if we're not ready to step up out of our lane even a little bit for theirs? So today I speak for everything I see is wrong in this world. And you should too.
Some could argue that this is a woman’s right to choose. 🤔
