im gonna be so deadass… I HATE SQUIRRELFLIGHTS NAME. i can’t read anything about her without only imagining a squirrel, any character design for her that i make is too squirrel adjacent BUT if you don’t follow the squirrel name its like ignoring a crucial part. i hate her name so much. it immediately makes me dislike her EVEN THO I HEAR HER CHARACTER IS ACTUALLY GOOD. it’s like a love interest being named “caleb” and you’re immediately like omg some boring ass mf. I don’t want to imagine squirrels when i’m reading about cats.

tbh i really hc bluestar as a lesbian who didn’t realize it until way later in her life. she definitely had deep emotional feelings towards rosetail but blue just shrugged it off though i’m sure she knew deep down what those feelings were. her feelings for oakheart were genuine but were born more out of her desire for love and she found it easier to love a tom that wasn’t in the clan, hence why she didn’t persue thrushpelt. after loosing her kits and becoming deputy, she switches her focus entirely on being the best for her clan.
but then she meets yellowfang, also someone who didn’t realize she was a lesbian until after her kits were born. as they become closer and talk more, blue begins to realize that her feelings as a young warrior, especially towards rosetail(who definitely had a crush on blue but didn’t want to pressure her) were similar to what yellowfang described.
i think fireheart would have been one of the first cats she comes out to, starting off by telling him how grateful she was for yellowfang. at first she avoids the topic of her sexuality but fireheart catches on and encourages her to talk to yellow about it.
they talk about it and yellow comforts blue through her self discovery and they eventually become mates and continue to be so in starclan, allowing blue to live out the love she always desired.
for the past four years ive thought that talljake r the kind of couple where its like. no matter how many lives we live, we will always find each other.
Making Firestar an orange boy was such a good move.
Like he’s the perfect lil guy to be orange. He just wants everyone to be friends, he’s not perfect but he’s baby. Half his brain cells belong to the women around him. He’s literally just an orange boy, that’s his whole thing -

Fireheart seems like the type to get a motorbike in his youth and now he doesn’t now what to do with it/ doesn’t have the heart to get rid of it.
Firestar misses Bluestar at the lake territory.
Firestar misses Yellowfang at the like territory.
At the lake… he has a den that Bluestar never slept in. He bathes in the sun, glistening like flames, on rocks their paws never knew. He thinks of them more because there are no things that they shared here. They never shared tongue beneath the Highledge, or on Half rock. There are no memories of them there.
He can’t visit where they’re buried. He can’t put his paws there they once stood. There’s so hint of their stale scents on the stone. There’s nothing of them in this place. Fewer and fewer cats remember them.
He misses Lionheart.
He misses Whitestorm.
He misses Ravenpaw.
He misses his first true home in the forest. He dreams of a it. He dreams of them.
