We are off to a strong start in the 2nd chapter with this heart growing branches during Qifrey's explanation

Chapter 4: right after Qifrey sees Coco succeed in her first trial we get Iguin saying that the seed has sprouted. Initially I thought the seed was his influence in Coco, but now I think he's talking about the literal seed in Qifrey that has sprouted after he felt real hope of catching the brimhats since he went to the tower of books.

This panel from the first visit to mr Nolnoa has an... Unfortunately placed silvertree branch.

Iguin calling Coco their hope. Hope necessary for silvertrees to grow.

Was his plan from the start to get to Qifrey by making a child from a place he frequents use forbidden magic? (I'm assuming he got his clothing from Coco's shop before and I've seen Iguin spying on the girls enough to not rule this out)

Chooses where it lives just like a human would.

"like a human would", "you've so carefully built for yourself". I wonder when we'll hear more sentences mirroring silvertree growth and Qifrey

Two chapters after. Peaceful and tranquil... so the atelier is a place that "calms the soul"

A Treefrey AU with a happy ending

It’s story time! I have a ton of Witch Hat AUs chasing each other in my head like spiders in a jar, but it takes me literal years to write fanfics. So instead I’ll write my Qifrey is a silver tree AU in rambly essay format! Smooth. Flawless. I’ll also add footnotes and screenshots at the end for when I’m taking inspiration from specific scenes in the manga (and for extra ramble). So yep enjoy, feel free to peer review, cite, reuse and disseminate.
