Witch Digimon compasión is perfect from Lincoln Loud
Look how pretty this is!! 😊
James, be careful. You’re almost drooling. James and Cordelia at the Ruelle.
I don't know why but ever since I started reading SOBH, I hv a feeling that Thomas isn't going to survive Chain of Thorns. Then I saw unidentified snippet 6 and all I can think about is Thomas
I thought the same thing. Becaus interdimensional portals don't just open in another world. It can be open in diferent times, ex: Emma and Julian crossing the portal to Thule moments after Annabel and Ash, but arriving years later. Faerie in itself seems interdimensional. Time dosent flow like anywhere else. What if it's not the land speeding up but the distance between worlds?
What if I told you TLH doesn’t happen in the past and it’s happening around the same time as TDA?
Let me explain. In COG Cordelia saw a “view of dead ground and broken trees, and a red moon rising”. The desert, the mention of a red moon, is literally a description of Thule. I couldn’t understand how it was possible if Thule and our dimension split during the dark war, way after TLH.
But what if TLH isn’t happening in our dimension but another one exaclty the same as our own, except is 1903. Maybe time passes slower, so it’s identical but with different times.
And the Avenger Assemblence Cassandra Clare talked about, with the characters of the shadowhunter chronicals in TWP (And has confirmed they aren’t ghost), is possible because they travel from their dimension to ours, like Emma and Julian did.
Just a thought
And also current day lightwoods because well Kit Lightwoods is dead and i hate her for it
Okay but Cassie can we please get an updated family tree?
I need to know what path was taken to get to the modern day Fairchilds.
The full Shadowhunter family tree, as we currently know it
| Red line = romantic affiliation
| Yellow line = siblings
| Green line = parent/child relationship
| Dotted line = relationships we haven't seen happen yet but exist
| Dark grey boxes = dead characters
| Blue boxes = Immortal characters
Petition to start calling Lucie Herondale the Ghost Queen
Can someone give me a summary of Chain of Thorns, I’m not gonna be able to read it for a while.
step aside james herondale she’s MY wife
why couldn't it just be that jem saw Jessie get belial's marks stripped off of him and that's what he was talking about when he told Emma about it
I don't think Belial will actually be stabbed a third time by Cortana; in the Ghosts of the Shadowhunter Market, Belial is still around (and if I remember correctly, he shouldn't be around for at least a hundred years if he gets stabbed) and Jem mentions some kind of debt Belial owes him that hasn't yet been paid. Maybe, Jem and the rest of the gang get rid of Belial by making a deal with him? He gets Cordelia out of her oath with Lilith and promises to go away, as long as they stop hunting him? Maybe this is why the Carstairs owe the Herondales?
There's absolutely no way James will die, simply because of the fact that Jace has the same birthmark that stretches back to Will. The only option that could allow for James to die and also for the birthmark to reach Jace would be if Tessa and Will had a third son, which is impossible to insert into the story at this point because we have seen Tessa in the modern day and heard many references to her and Will's children - - they only had two, never was another one mentioned. It also can't happen that James dies and then another child is adopted into the family and takes the Herondale name because that would logically mean that this adopted child did not inherit the birthmark and therefore neither did any of his descendants, including Jace. This would be a plot hole, considering that it's known for a fact that Jace has this birthmark and it was this birthmark that saved Jace's life and allowed Imogen Herondale to realize he was her grandson.
was the inquisitor corresponding with Tatiana lightwood? is that why he would want to burn a random letter and any other evidence he had that he had a vendetta against the lightwoods and herondales? 😭😭😭
lost in the citadel by lil nas x is the perfect song for alastair and charles, i mean there are lines like:
"I remember when I met you, thought the universe sent you, thought you were someone I could vent to, so I hit your line, what you getting into?"
"I need time to get up and get off the floor, I need time to realize that I can't be yours, I need time to give up just like before, I love it how you know I'd only come right back for more."
"Why I thought it was forever? I only see you maybe never.
Why I thought we'd be together, when you treat it like whatever?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, my love is fallin' down, playing the victim when all my envisionings come slowly tumbling down, putting me back on the ground."
i just feel like it describes how Alastair feels at certain points
cordelia carstairs to james at the herondale ball:
Jane Austen also wrote "The Beautifull Cassandra" in her youth, just as Lucie writes "The Beautiful Cordelia" as a teenager.
hmm, is the title "The Beautiful Cordelia" a nod to Jane Austen's "The Beautifull Cassandra"

Do you guys see the resemblance?
cassandra just give alastair one (1) friend 😭😭
I would like an Alastair/Jem friendship 😤😤
I wonder what Alastair and Cordelia would think of Emma. I like to think there are bits of Alastair that shine through in Emma and that Jem eventually tells her about them.
If the Last Hours is a retelling of Great Expectations and James is Pip while Grace is Estella - - does that make Cordelia Biddy and Matthew Joe?
It would honestly, in that context, make more sense for Cordelia and Matthew to be together and James to remain single 🤔🤔🤔
I don’t have links but I really want to talk about The Last Hours because I’m so excited, so I’m just gonna ramble??
The theory I heard that makes a lot of sense to me is that the baby Sona is currently pregnant with will be raised by Alastair. This would explain how Alastair had a child (despite claiming he’d never marry) and is the great-grandfather of Emma Carstairs according to the family tree. It would also explain why the third Carstairs child is nowhere to be found on the family tree itself; since CC has claimed that it’s been purposefully altered, perhaps this is one of the alterations -- Sona had a baby, for some reason could not take care of that child, and so they were taken in by Alastair and raised as his. This is a sad theory though, because Sona is lovely and I don’t want anything to happen to her at all :(
I am really hoping there will be a very close relationship that will develop between Jem and Alastair and I base it on this one point, in Forever Fallen, where Jem mentions a specific cradle, which he’d personally seen carved over 100 years earlier at Cirenworth ---
“The cradle had been carved more than a hundred years ago from an oak felled in these woods. Jem had seen it made, with careful hands and patient love.”
He doesn’t mention who carved it by name, but Cirenworth has only been owned by the Carstairs since 1895. It was bought by Elias Carstairs, years after Jem had become a Silent Brother, so the only way this passage could make sense is if he’d seen either Elias, Alastair or a child of either of the two build the cradle.
Now, he can’t have seen Elias, because it’s known and pretty much canon that Elias refused to allow Jem to visit or be near his family whatsoever. It can only either be Alastair or someone directly after Alastair, which means Alastair must’ve had a close enough relationship with Jem if he’s just let him casually show up for a day of woodworking or to be close enough to his child that he’d be there if his child were the one doing it.
So, there is a baby; there is a cradle built by either Alastair for a child or a child of Alastair that Jem would’ve seen at Cirenworth.
I don’t know if this makes no sense but I just wanted to write it all out. I’m really excited!
I’m looking to go down the rabbit hole of theories for Chain of Iron and Chain of Thorns from The Last Hours trilogy. If anyone wants to comment, or link me to any of the theories, I would be much appreciated.
