He can sing well but often jokingly says he can't. Of course, no one expects the cold boss of N019 zone to be able to. Not even the twins. Lol. They heard him do it out of tune for fun and assumed he couldn't. Of course, he's not gonna prove their assumptions wrong. He'd just go along with it. Never taking it personally as usual. He doesn't mind.
Sylus would only sing for someone he's really, really comfortable with. Only someone who could easily break down his walls. Which is MC or reader. Or his kids. *cough**cough*
So imagine the shock and surprise you felt when you heard his real voice. When you begged him to sing for you on a bad day to cheer you up. He reluctantly gave in. Of course, how could he say no to you with you looking at him with those adorable eyes so pleadingly?. He'd do anything to make you feel better.
And when he's done. Your jaw is touching the floor. Did you fall in love with him all over again?. Absolutely. Probably cry a little?. Maybe so. How couldn't you when he was holding you close and his deep yet tender voice sounded like balm on a wound and a hug, a gentle kiss on your aching heart that made you forget your problems?.
And now you feel like you've been bamboozled. How did you not know earlier?. Why did he not tell you?. Ahh! Sylus! How could you keep this sweet secret from your lover? Was he shy about it or what?. He can't expect you now to not want to hear more of that heavenly voice again. He's gonna be that dad that sings to your children. Period.
Now fast forward, MC now shares her favorite songs with him, sharing playlists with him, tryna drag him to karaoke with her, letting him sing for her more often. Lullabies as she's laying in his lap when they're alone? Yes. Recording his voice to listen to later when he's not around? Yes. You just can't get enough of it. And what makes it better is that only you know his little secret. Hehe.
And Sylus, he does it all for you. Going along with your every little requests. Albeit reluctantly or acting like he doesn't want to but does it anyway. Internally, he's happy you're enjoying this. Of course, he's happy when you are. Seeing you giggle and smile widely everytime he sings for you, how your attention locks on him with your eyes sparklingly full of tenderness and affection everytime he serenades you one of your favorite songs just does something to him. Well, there are some songs he can't quite replicate the exact pitch but he makes it up with his own voice. Doing his best to be close enough. But when he can't, he'd just pick another song. He mostly sings ones he knows he can handle. Simple, nothing too complicated.
He listens to your music, secretly learning how to sing some of your favorite songs to surprise you later. Or for whenever you're ready again to drag him off for your secret concert.
