The year is 2050, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, now known as WOKEmon LIBERAL COMMUNE is being remade. It has remakes of all four games, Rescue Team is now **Rescue Theys**. Your partner will always be non binary and there are 63 gender options for your hero, though hero and partner are stigmatized terms, so now we have the social activist and the anti-racisim pal. Team Meanies is now Team LGBTQ Rights. Gengar is Gengay, Medicham is now Ru Paul, and Ekans is now Yranibnon. The meteor in the end of the game has been replaced with the capitalist party. **Explorers of Sky** is now Explorers of Activisim. The Guild is now the Liberal Party. Wigglytuff and Chatot are now a proud lesbian couple with Wigglytuff being a trans woman and Chatot being non-binary as it's too misogynistic to have only men in power. Wigglytuff is no longer the guild master but the Prime Minister of the Activists. Team Skull has been rebranded to Team Cis and represent the capitalist party. Skuntank is now Trump, Zubat is now Cishet, and Koffing is now White American. The other major change is to the future trio, Grovyle is now Wokevyle, Dusknoir is now Duskhernoir, and Celebi is now Celebisexual. **Gates to Infinity** also faces lots of changes, Paradise is now Pride 2050. Emolga is now Gayolga, Dunsparce is now Dunsparce, Virizion is Dykeion, Espeon is TWeon and Umbreon is CWeon. The Bittercold has been replaced with the Florida Governor. Dunsparce and Gayolga are a proud gay t4t couple. Dykeion and Keldeo- I mean Kelthey, stopped being friends after Kelthey triggered Dykeion by mentioning Harry Potter. Oh! I forgot to mention, but the fighting mechanics have now been replaced with debating mechanics, in which you debate the other Pokemon on the best way to stop climate change. Anyways, finally we have **Super Mystery Dungeon** called what else, but Super Woke Local Commune. Nuzleaf is now Nuzshe, and gives single mothers representation. The Expedition Society is now the Red Society (communisim) and the scariest part? This game doesn't come out in 2050. It's being written RIGHT NOW.

*i think its really obvious that some of these guys are more developed than others.... i tend to develop them more on replays, so the more i've played a pmd game, the more developed the hero/partner are

Rescue Team - Team Fire Coral -

Orchid the Blaziken:

| + | She/He | + | Bigender Lesbian | + | ❤️ Seaslug

Spunky, protective, adventurous, and hot-headed. She often charges right into things on a whim and without thinking them through. His hot-headedness leads him to be fairly aggressive at times. She's also rather stubborn, often holding grudges and being completely set in her ways. The only Pokemon he was really able to fully forgive, out of everyone, was Gengar. She didn't fully forgive the town for sending her and her partner into exile, they knew Gengar was bad news, but they still believed him. Gengar on the other hand, after the events of Murky Cave, she began to see more as a mischievous kid rather than some completely evil monster. She adopted him as an 'honary member of Team Fire Coral.'

Seaslug the Wartortle:

Pretty similar to Orchid in personality, just much more introverted than her. They're also a bit of a hot-head, but has a much easier time letting go than their partner, being able to forgive pretty much every, except for Ninetales though, both Seaslug and Orchid have their problems with her. They're incredibly supportive of their girlfriend, no matter what. Believing that her hot headed and stubborn was doesn't make her a bad Pokemon.

Explorers - Team Fragment -

Najia the Delcatty:

Rather mischievous with a fascination for mixology and witchcraft. They're not too crazy about exploring, but they still enjoys it and spending time with the Guild Members. She's Aether's #1 supporter and will do anything to make her happy. Also pretty charismatic, managing to convince Celebi to let Grovyle and Dusknoir visit the past whenever they please. And whenever they do visit, it makes sure to have a prank to play on them at the ready. On hard days, it sneaks out into Spinda's Cafe to down some Pokemon wine. Spinda often lets them vent to them about whatever's troubling them. Also still very bitter about Navy ( Manaphy ) being taken away from her due to past mommy issues. Oops

Aether the Luxio:

She's timid, easily startled, and self-deprecating. Despite this, she's very determined to achieve her dream of becoming an explorer. Najia helped Aether get over her fears, though her anxiety is still a problem for her in her day-to-day life, but she's come to terms with that, and she's fine with that. She knows she has Najia, Spinda, and her friends to help her whenever she needs, and that's all that matters to her. Aether became friends with Team Skull in the year that Najia was gone. Najia was hesitant to trust them at first, but ultimately came around. Aether still vividly remembers the day Najia disappeared, and occasionally has nightmares where she disappears again. But Najia is always there to comfort her after them.

Gates to Infinity - Team Hope -

Raja the Axew/Zorua Hybrid:

Mischievous and really damn smart. Tends to act like a know-it-all for the fun of it, in fact she does most things for the fun of it. Often considering saying or doing pretty rude or dumb things soley to see what happens. Though, their sensible, smart side prevents them from doing it. Unlike in Mako's exact wish, she wasn't able to freely travel between the human world and Pokemon world. Instead being stuck in the Pokemon world. Mako apologized, but she insisted that it was fine. Unlike the other heroes, she remembers her human life with near perfect clarity. She seems awfully reluctant to talk about it, though. She also never quite forgave Munna & the others or Kyurem. Especially Kyruem, who attacked her out of the blue, leading to her loosing an eye and permanently breaking a leg.

Mako the Oshawott:

He initially started out as a careless, distrusting guy due to the nature of their world. Due to the rarity of shiny Pokemon, he was often treated as a 'good luck token' instead of an actual Pokemon with thoughts and feelings. He eventually realized his old 'friends' were just manipulating him, and swore to never let himself be used again. He ran away from his old home, running into Raja along the way. He initially bought the land to be his paradise, but he slowly began to warm up to his friends. Though, they didn't formally apologize for treating them poorly until after he was kidnapped by Munna, where he began to doubt Raja would come save him due to how horrible he was to her. But, when she and Hydreigon came through, he realized that Raja and the others really did care about him the whole time. Apologizing for everything when he returned to Paradise. From then on, he dropped his persona and let the others see his more goofy, laid-back, and righteous side. He also never got a scallop like other Oshawotts, instead being given one by Raja the night after she rescued him from Munna.

Super Mystery Dungeon - Team Dreamscape -

Ember the Fennekin:

Once she first arrived in the Pokemon world, Ember was incredibly rude and distrusting of everyone. Though, she did still have morals and a sense of justice. Often agreeing to help Pokemon due to moral obligations or an obvious wrong needing to be righted. Though as time goes on, Ember would only increasingly warm up to Fern, showing her to be not some ruthless bully, but a sarcastic nerd who was scared to hurt herself by becoming loosing a good friends, so she chose to not make any friends. She revealed her fixations on herbology, medicine, and astrology, often nerding out to Fern about cool plants she found. After the post-game, Ember reveals that exploring isn't really what she wants. After everything, she just wants to go back to Serene Village with Nuzleaf, with the excitement of Lively Town and Expedition Society being a little too overwhelming for her at the time. She wanted to go back to school and learn how to become a doctor. Though to her surprise, Fern completely understood. So, she moved back, but not without making Fern promise to visit often.

Fern the Snivy:

The silliest silly to ever silly. She's profusely optimistic and extroverted. She doesn't really notice or care if others are upset with her, except for Ember, in which case she'll make up for whatever upset her as soon as possible. While Fern helped Ember to open up and learn that its better to have loved and lost than to never have loved, Ember helped Fern learn that being reckless isn't always that good. It's okay to be a little reckless, but if you're too reckless, you could end up getting others hurt in the process. She also helped her to learn to be a bit more considerate of others feelings, some people prefer to have some peace and alone time, and that's okay. They're still friends even if they don't hang out or talk every day. When Ember told her that she wanted to return to Serene Village, Fern was initially hurt, but remembered what Ember helped teach her. It was okay for Ember to have a different dream then her, her moving back to Serene Village didn't mean they'd never see each other again, because they would. They could visit each other at almost any time. Plus, they were good friends with a Talonflame named Flametail, who agreed to help them send each other letters. If anything, Fern was incredibly happy. Ember fully opened up to her, she trusted Fern to not get upset with her when she told her about wanting to move back. The old Ember would've never done that, she would've kept making herself miserable.

since all recruits from jobs are lv 1 i imagine tamako never really fought anyone so she never got stronger and was pretty weak but drizzle is like a lv 100 surskit or something

Apollo the Shinx (Human) - Energy Scarf An early model I made, it was really fun to make, but I cant remember a lot of how hard or easy it was, so I'm guessing easy? or I would remember the problems... and that weird crease around the mouth is much less noticeable irl. Fun fact, most pokemon cards of a species and half of them are weird, badly drawn or just not as good. Look for Shinxs pokecards and EACH. ONE. OF. THEM. is cute.

Ivy the Chikorita (Partner)- Bright Veil That leaf has been glued SO many times, it just keeps falling, Premature Leaf Baldness is no joke, and affects 4 out of 10 Chikoritas, please consult your closest nurse Joy for more information. Anyway, the potato shape is hella easy to make, and I love how it ended. Except the veil, that its a bit small, and looks weird with nothing else in her body...

This was my fist Explorers team a long ago, I cant remember if I even finished the epilogue, but it's still my "canon" team. I think I got Shink in the test without resetting, but I never got it again, so, who knows, he's cool. And Chikorita is the best partner. Got kinda lazy with the hold items, or uniques in this case, the veil kinda has the shape I want but looks terrible.

finally went back and played through explorers of sky after getting walled by dialga as a kid very good game used it as an excuse to give aseprite a proper go (bonus shitpost under the cut)

Started playing PMD Explorers of Sky recently and made some doodles~

trying out a new sketchier style with some of these just for a change (which is totally not code for "depression is kicking my ass rn and it's hard to work on more refined stuff")

Ended up continuing it after all! Let's see how long I last until I give up lmao. Still, these don't take too long to make, so I think I could release five pages every week? I mean the whole reason I started this in the first place was because I wanted to force myself to complete something, no matter what the end result looked like, so I think it's feasible to think I could make this comic an actual thing, as long as I keep it as casual as I started it.

Also, I don't know who allowed me to draw a Treecko, but they need to get fired right this instant.

Chapter 1: A Storm At Sea (Part 1)

Been replaying Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky and I got the urge to turn it into a comic like I'd wanted to do as a kid. Didn't want to spend too much time on it though because I have neither the time nor the energy to invest myself in a huge project so I got the idea of limiting myself to only working 30 minutes per page, an idea which I fantastically failed to achieve (i think i must have spent about two hours on the third page), but I still managed to whip these up in two evenings' time, which isn't too bad in my opinion. Maybe I'll continue it?

Today (or yesterday?) Is my birthday!🎉 So I spent all day to continue Darkrai!Yuu and finish this!

I finally have some time to continue Darkrai!Yuu. Here you go, I hope you like it 🫴✨

Darkrai!Yuu and Grim meet Ramshackle's ghost!

... He can't understand why do they scared of him that much.

For my headcannon, I like to think that every ghost (pokemon or not) has some kind of instinct that always tells them to avoid Dark-type pokemon. And as a Legendary pokemon who also be a pure dark type, Darkrai will have an aura that indicates more danger than regular dark types. Normally he should be able to control it. But with his amnesiac statement, Darkrai!Yuu couldn't even remember his own basic movements. Of course, he couldn't control his aura. And it terrorizes every ghost in the area, including Ramshackle's ghost trio.

Poor Darkrai!Yuu, he can't understand why Ramshackle's ghosts look so afraid of him.

(Ramshackle's ghosts also didn't understand why they're afraid of this new student so much either.)

But don't worry! They will adjust to this diaspora legend in no time, trust me.

And yeah, Grim was here too. I think I'm gonna talk about him later.

... For my excuse, I can't help myself. I have no self-control and need to draw this after saw the word 'Girl talk'.

From this post. I want to show everyone my Darkrai in Twisted Wonderland! This is some of my plot and idea about that!

....Yeah, I just turned a maniac pokemon into a cinnamon-roll-boy who full of anxious-

I know that PMD Darkrai isn't a shiny, but his sprite used these colors so I used it too. If you wonder why his eyes color before/after came to Twisted Wonderland are different, I'm gonna tell you later.

Anyway, from what I said in the last post. After he (because in PMD used he/him, so I will use it accordingly) got attack by Palkia while he trying to escape, Darkrai losing his memories and end up in Twisted Wonderland as a human.

By the words "losing his memories", it's mean almost everything. It's like how Player end up as a Pokemon with no memory in the game, they know what is Pokemon, what is human and many things, but still can't remember many things either. In Darkrai's case, he can't remember his name or his old life, but still can remember what is pokemon. He knows that he was a Pokemon not a human. He just can't remember which one of Pokemon is he or how he turned into a human. His memory and his personality was reset almost to the zero.

Darkrai woke up in a dark and cramped coffin, a feeling of discomfort and pain spread throughout his body.

Why is he in the coffin??? Who put him in the coffin!? -wait- is that a flame!?

This poor amnesic boy started panicking when he saw blue flames emanating from the coffin lid, he immediately kicked the coffin lid out with all his strength.

Grim was an unlucky one who standing in front of the coffin in that moment.

The first thing Darkrai thought when he met Grim was: What kind of pokemon is this kid? (Meowth? Espurr?? Litten???).

But after the first encounter between Grim and Darkrai, it was followed by death threats from Grim. Darkrai run away and Grim chasing him for the robe which he was wearing right now-but he can't remember how he got it.

Darkrai accidentally used his power to cross the shadows when dodging Grim's flames for the first time, and he didn't even notice.

Darkrai, who had just escaped from the angry cat-like pokemon(?), gasping for breath while confused what just happened, and realized something when he saw his reflection.

He is human...

But he not supposed to be human

He don't know how, but he knew that he shouldn't be a human. He was a pokemon!

...He might not sure which species he was, but he sure that he was a pokemon before.

Time for panic and fear when he realized he had no memory and was now being chased in a strange place.

Darkrai met headmage Crowley, he saved him from Grim and tried to take him to the orientation ceremony.

It didn't help him so much when he tried to explain his situation to Crowley, and of course! he doesn't listen...

And when Darkrai standing before the mirror of darkness, in the eyes of many people who were staring at him at that moment. This happened.

'State your name'

"I-I can't..."

'Louder!'

"I'm sorry! I can't remember my name!"

Sounds of confusion and question sounded around him. Darkrai was really uncomfortable with all of this. But the Dark Mirror still read his soul to assigned him in some dorm.

...if that can happen.

'The nature of your soul is...' '.........unclear to me' 'It's so dark...this soul is too dark for me to read it. I can't sense magical power from this one. Soundless. Colorless. Shapeless. Utterly vacant. Therefore, no dorm would be appropriate.'

Crowley began to cry out in disbelief that the black carriage receive a person who cannot even use magic (but Darkrai didn't came here by the black carriage...). Grim demanded that he can be a student here instead Darkrai.

Annnnd You know what happened next.

The Chamber of Mirror set on fire. One student had flames on his robe. Now everything is in chaos and out of control.

Darkrai was stressed, he feel not safe, he had a headache, he wanted to get out of here right now.

'I don't know if I thought of it or not... But I felt that the pain on my body was growing more and more as my headache....'

After they manage to capturing Grim, it wasn't long before Darkrai can given Crowley any excuses or clarifications. He collapsed to the ground and fainted in front of everyone.

And when Riddle go to check on him…

"Headmage! He's bleeding right now!"

It was the time for everyone's turn to panic as they rushed to take him to the infirmary. We have a no-magical student who is bleeding and seriously injured right here! Get out of the way!

(I don't belive that being thrown across dimensions from the attacked of God of Space-Time would not left anything behind. Of course, he must have suffered some injuries, and it's not just a little wound too.)

Grim still here with Crowley with Riddle's collar on his neck. The only reason he hasn't been throw out is because our headmage still believes that he is Darkrai's familliar.

What a messy ceremony.

This poor boy is very confused and panicked, his stress will only get worse because of all the Overblots and his own problems in the future.

Darkrai as MC in Twisted-Wonderland

I got some idea and I can't stop thinking about it.

Why not bring Darkrai from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon to Twisted-Wonderland?

I mean... He was the secret last boss who behind the dark future (from what he said) in Explorer of Time, Darkness and Sky.

And not like Darkrai in Rise of Darkrai, this one is evil.

When player got attacked by Darkrai while they still in Dimensional Hole, they got amnesia and became a Pokemon...

Isn't that mean when Darkrai himself got attack by Palkia while he still in Dimensional Hole, he gonna turn into human? And I remember Palkia said something about he got banished to unknown place...and Cresselia said he lost his memory so...

He is the perfect choice for MC or Yuu role.

Is this mean redemption arc? I don't know, maybe?

Clay (Shinx):

I don’t know where he would get heels, or why he would have them. But he would absolutely commit to the bit of being REALLY good at using them with paws on all fours

He’s still VERY traumatized from what Dusknoir did to him, and it only gets worse as he starts to recover his memories of the past (amnesia deleted trauma comes back) :(

He completely knocks the wind out of Grovyle when he first arrives in the present after the post game

Leo (Charmander):

He chews on his claws a lot when he’s nervous (which happens often). Even when he becomes more confident later on, it’s hard for him to break the habit

Leo is very sentimental when it comes to holidays and traditions. Decorating his house for them reminds him of so many happy memories he has with his parents.

Anyone who dares to hurt Clay is in eminent danger (Dusknoir is not safe)

Basil (Grovyle):

Running from Dusknoir for most of his life made sleep deprivation a close acquaintance of his, and he almost ODed on chesto berries in an effort to stay awake for 72 hours straight once. He has a difficult time adjusting to maintaining a healthy lifestyle once his life isn't constantly in danger.

He gave Clay as stuffed teddyursa he handmade when Clay was a little kid. He's held onto it for years even after Clay outgrew it.

Lola (Celebi):

Lola is not a large pokemon. Nobody needs somebody who weighs 11 lbs and has the ability to time travel to be amped up on 200 mg of caffeine.

She spend most of her life being unable to because noon didn't happen. Let her enjoy it.

First post on here, I've never used this app before tbh but i love pmd and i have too many ocs to not share soo

The past few days one of my friend has been playing through Explorers of Sky, and he’s been streaming his run for me to watch while we VC on Discord. He knows of some of the characters that show up, but he’s going in pretty much spoiler free. Tonight he got to chapter 10 (Dusknoir’s first appearance) and mentioned that he remembered seeing Grovyle and Dusknoir being a ship online. He’s gonna be SOOOOOOO confused when he finds out they actually both want to kill each other currently instead of making out.

In the dark future.

Imagine being a child, probably orphaned and alone in a post-apocalyptic world, there is no day or night, no seasons and the earth does not provide for itself, and on top of that, there are endless aggressive and wild Pokemon lurking in every corner, fortunately, you got a little friend who you can count on to have your back, yet, you are just children, forced to grow and mature in this world of perpetual darkness without knowing which day could be your last.

This is so funny but also such a good idea that I wish was brought up more. It makes literally zero sense that the hero just instantly adapts to a completely new body and world the day they show up, I’m sorry but they just aren’t built like that. When Clay first shows up he’s falling over constantly due to being digitigrade and quadruped, can’t control his electricity at all, and cannot read or write except for some weird language no other pokemon speak. He still dives headfirst into most situations despite that, and Leo is constantly trying to dig them out of whatever Clay got them into. Everyone around treasure town things he’s a total weirdo, but they don’t have the heart to tell Leo they think that about the one friend he’s made since his parents’ disappearance.

To add on to this a little more, I also have a headcanon that heroes’ emotions are SUPER easy to read due to their body language. They’re not used to having control over their new tails, ears, elemental powers, etc, so they involuntarily show how they’re feeling based off of the movement and presentation of them. For example, my riolu hero OC Milo always gets embarrassed when he’s excited about something because he can’t stop his tail from wagging like crazy. Clay tends to spark up with electricity whenever he’s scared or upset about something.

It’s little things like this that make people’s characters and fics so awesome, it makes the heroes seem so much more down to earth and actually human like they’re supposed to be.

Imagining the PMD Partners as frustrated pet-owners trying so hard to care for their humans is hilarious to me.

Like, Hero is great and all, but they're so dumb. Partner is at their wits end and doesn't know what to do. Turns out, they're not the first person to feel that way!
