Day 24: Wrapping Presents, Heracles

Warnings: Reader gets overwhelmed and Heracles helps them

(_____) had been rushing around all day trying to finish getting everything on their list done. They nearly knocked over some deity’s in their rushing around. Now here they were staring at the overwhelming piles of boxes and wrapping paper. “Oh boy..” They said quietly to themselves as they honestly didn’t know where to start.

Heracles had been worrying over his lover all day. They had been so busy that he worried for their health and wellbeing. He stood outside of their door, not sure if he should knock or not. They’re very busy and he didn’t want to disrupt them but at the same time he wanted to have them take a break. After a while of thinking over it Heracles knocks and then enters (_____)’s room. His eyes widened at the mountain of gifts and the mountain of wrapping supplies on either side of his lover. (_____) turned around with a stressed out look in their eyes. “I think I went overboard this year..”

Heracles laughed and walked up to them. “Would you like some assistance love?” (_____) tiredly nodded and Heracles got straight to work. He organized the presents by pantheon and then deity. He asked if any of them had assigned wrapping paper and if they did he would move the wrapping paper to those gifts. He sat with them and learned from them on how to wrap the presents to make them look presentable. The crackling of the fire added the perfect amount of ambient sound to their moment together.

He even helped them carry all of the presents to deliver them. (_____) was happy beyond belief to have a lover like Heracles.

My cousins forced me to watch d*sney’s Hercules yesterday and all other inaccuracies aside I think one of the worst offenders is them portraying Zeus as caring, loving and present father. I died of laughter when I saw it.

random headcannon

Okay, take it out of nowhere, but Ares totally understand Apollo’s hate for Achilles, cause he was the same whit Heracles. Heracles killed a LOT of Ares’s children (some by accident) . And Achilles murdered a LOT of Apollo’s children ( don’t get me start talking about Troilus).

So, for me, even if Ares and Apollo aren’t the best siblings, they, at least, hold each other’s backs when it comes to children lost. Not like siblings, but like two dads that are both tired of losing their kids, to some so named “ Hero”

So you know how there are some fic where Percy classmates read the Percy Jackson books? Ya, I would absolutely love if there was one where the whole world finds out, and you can have Percy being the leader with Annabeth, people in power questioning what the hell’s going on and them being concerned, not about the child soldier thing, but more about how Percy and Annabeth interact as they are the leaders of this really high powered “race” or “new/different” humans (Demigods). Also most of the wars were because of Demigods. And them somehow having to on live TV or something international TV maybe read the Percy Jackson books aloud.

Also, the bombshell of multiple pantheons people questioning history. All of this would be amazing. I feel like people would be questioning some things that happened and also figuring out that Heracles is still alive and how horrible he is that would be fun.

PS: Hercules is Roman and Heracles is actually Greek name for Hercules. I found out some people don’t know this but you realize his name is because Zeus wanted to name him a name that would please Hera and his name is said as HERA-cles (HERA-q-leas)

I've been gone for some time, so I thought I'd post some of the mythological card concepts I had made for a client.  Nice break from the usual game art I do, though I would've liked more tentacles on 'em. >_>

Here's Heracles. He looks like a painting in some dentist office, but you know what? That's okay. I'm getting better at digital art day by day and I think this is the best I can do so far. If you like Mr. Heracles over here you might want to stick around. I'll probably be drawing more stuff like this. I may or may not take requests, depending on how I feel. I'm really new to both Tumblr and digital art, so please don't get onto me for not being the most professional artist.
