Horror and its sister genres are pretty interesting from a standpoint of healthy consumption, because they’re the only genres I can think of that require aftercare.

Not only do you need to be in the right headspace to consume it, but you can’t go overboard with it no matter how fun it feels in the moment, and you really need to know when to take a step back and watch/read/play/talk about something lighter. And if you don’t practice safety with the genre, you risk genuinely hurting yourself.

I tend to liken Horror Communities to Kink Communities in their functionality for a lot of reasons, but this is a pretty interesting manifestation of that that I’ve never really seen people bring up before. Horror’s my favorite genre, and it means the world to me, but knowing when to take a breather is incredibly important to one’s health and experience of it.

It’s so rare seeing memes that praise men and boys so here are two nice ones.

Hey everyone, this is not for me but for a friend of mine. See this cute little girl? Her name is Mavie and she’s the daughter of a friend of mine.

Her mom and her have been doing their bests to help Mavie and to make her life a bit better and the closest possible to what a girl like her deserves ❤

The following paragraphs are words from her own mother:

“She is an angel with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and Epilepsy episodes.

She has absence crisis, and partial crises where one of her legs or arms latches.

If she gets too stressed or without her medicine, she gets too angry and ends up hurting herself.”

She takes medicines to not faint and to not  such as Levitiracetam 250 mg, Sodium Valporate 250 mg and Clobazam 10 mg.

According to her mom, this fund could help them for a year or more. She’s currently unemployed, and because of that, every cent of this fund would count.

I didn’t start my doll phase till I was a bit older but I had monster high, ever after high, and lalaloopsy dolls.  The monster high & ever after ones I took care of like they were my own children but the lalaoopsy I graffitied all over in an attempt to make them look more like the other two, my mother was less than pleased considering what she had to pay for them bc of our financial state at the time.

Hello everyone, today I want to make a PSA about a company that calls themselves Dreame or Dreamestory on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

I was recently made aware by two followers from Twitter that this asian company had been using my artwork to promote their app. I have not authorized this, nor been given fair compensation from Dreame for using my work.

My artwork of mine and @unicornia93  OC’s Bremin and Nyniv is being featured along stories that have absolutely nothing to do with the artwork. Dreame even went as far as removing my watermark, which makes their intentions blatantly obvious. I’m not the first artist to endure this, and many have reached out to me to tell similar stories.

DO NOT support companies like Dreame who steal, especially not from smaller artists like myself. It disgusts me to see a paid service like Dreame profit off of stolen works and personal photos they’ve taken off of social media without permission and no credit given to artists or original owners.

— I have filed a report to Facebook and reported this to Dreame’s Copyright Infringement department, but it remains to be seen if it helps. —

If you can, please spread the word on your own social media platforms. Go rate them poorly on Facebook, make a post about it on Instagram, go @ them on twitter… Just make people aware of what they’re sponsoring.

Don’t help them grow. It could be your art next time.

tl;dr: Dreame/Dreamestory sucks and steal other people’s art and photos without credit, and they got hell to pay.

By the way with the supreme court reopening Lawrence and considering making anything other than cishet vanilla sex illegal, the "kink at pride" debate needs to die, right fucking now. We're about to see firsthand why kink and queer rights are so closely tied together and what we need is to stand in unity. This also means queer discourse needs to die, right now.

Listen, everyone. You have pride because of leather daddies and Trans Women of Color. You have pride because of the same people you're ashamed to accept into the community.

We're all about to become targets, and we can't win separated. And we especially need to protect our most vulnerable, we need to protect the members of our community that will get targeted the most.

Discourse needs to end. The United States' fascism and hate is getting worse, and anyone that knows their world history knows things might get really bad here soon, and it's more important than ever that we can stand together. If we get caught up on labels or "is this person really LGBT" or anything like that, the people that hate us all for existing will divide and conquer and we will all lose.
