btw the katy perry/bezos' girlfriend/other four irrelevant billionaires 10 minute space stunt was not the first all female expedition no matter how much they try to market it as such. the first all female mission was in 1963 with soviet cosmonauts Valentina Tereshkova, Irina Solovyova and Valentina Ponomaryova - all three of which were working class and had to pass incredibly hard exams to be chosen from 400 potential candidates. just in case we started falling for the propaganda machine again

Lines of thought that seem Normal but are actually rooted in extreme puritanism:
-Seeing the nude human body is inherently traumatic -Sex scenes in art are pointless -Wearing kink-related clothing in public is the similar to performing a sex scene in front of unwilling participants -Depicting female characters expressing sexuality is always degrading -People's sexual fantasies are always an endorsement of the behavior they want to see in real life -Sex work is more traumatic and coercive than other types of work The goal is to treat sex as just another thing people do. That is a much healthier attitude than hiding it! It's not uniquely traumatic, it's not weird to talk about it or include it in society.

This is my year long student film, with Echo the Dragon and Harper the glassblower learning to communicate and get along. Best enjoyed with sound as it has a custom score.
The story concept was mine and I got to be the art director and story lead on it. I did most of the animation on this, I designed Echo the dragon, and gave feedback and direction on color palettes, layouts, and VFX. My awesome team pulled out some awesome work and overall I think our final film is absolutely stellar.

i like working at plant store. sometimes you ring up someone and there's a slug on their plant and so you're like "Oh haha you've got a friend there let me get that for you" and you put the slug on your hand for safekeeping but then its really busy and you dont have time to take the slug outside before the next customer in line so you just have a slug chilling on your hand for 15 minutes. really makes you feel at peace with nature. also it means sometimes i get to say my favorite line which is "would you like this free slug with your purchase"

It being Elon's favorite game (or at least one so important to him that his biographer dedicates a lot of time to it) is.....really really funny.
Basically, imagine Civilization, but as a mobile game. So like if Civilization Revolution was even more dumbed down (that's a Civilization insult. That's devastating. It's devastated right now). For what it's worth, it's not a bad game. On the contrary, from what I could tell in the little bit of time I played it, it's a perfectly competent game with good design. But it's not a deep game by any means. I played through it once, won easily on my first go, then saw that the other playable characters had barely any differences between them.

You know fucking what??? I hate Jack Black. How can one man do the same fucking shtick for 30 years and not be judicially punished for it? "ohh I'm jack black, I'm going to say this sentence in a overly enunciated way!!" Catchphrase!!! "ohh I'm gonna sing about bacon now. Ohhh it's Steves epic bacon song, b-b-bacon!! jazz hands! jazz hands!!" "I'm jack black, I'm going to do a kick, and then at the same time I'm going to say out loud "Karate KICK" and THATS THE WHOLE JOKE! THAT I SAID THE THING THAT I AM CURRENTLY DOING IN A STUPID FUCKING VOICE
I understand that he's nice and all, so he gets a pass. It's always 'Just let him do his thing, he's a friendly guy :)' - how about we let ALL the nice people in the world do what they want ??!!! And then we can throw one big happy nice-guy picnic, where we all tell each other how nice and awesome ALL of our ideas are ?? :3 !!! How about we ALL just agree to be polite, even when someone suggests something that objectively fucking SUCKS? Well, we let the nice guy run rampant on Minecraft and now the game is permanently scarred by this tumor of a film. I played Minecraft as a young teen, all the way back in Alpha. 2010. I feel like I just watched jack black puppeteer its limp rag-doll corpse through a crude slapstick routine. If he's so nice, why has he hurt me?
Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.
