how do you treat ugly fat people? fat people with poor hygiene? fat people with visible disibility aides? fat people with absolutely zero dress sense? fat people who sweat easily? fat people who take up multiple seats on public transport? fat people who are balding? who have poor teeth? who have health complications due to their weight? what about fat people who fit into any of the aforementioned categories and are also visibly transgender? or is a POC? or both? when a fat black woman shows any emotion, what do you think of her? does your fat acceptance begin and end with the fat people you want to fuck?
A cis person with features like what you're implying WOULD BE INTERSEX. An AFAB person with natural male-typical facial hair IS intersex. An AMAB person with natural female-typical breast growth IS intersex. You guys are just lying about having intersex traits in order to pass. Some of you straight up say "oh I have a hormone disorder". You're simultaneously co-opting our cause and furthering our erasure with the portrayal of intersex traits as "cis person with sex disorder", which separates these traits from the word intersex. You're still lying about being intersex even if you never actually say the word intersex.
And it doesn't even help yall avoid transphobia. Intersexism and transphobia go hand & hand. You're still a target.
If you are put in a position where you need to lie, I'd recommend lying about being a detransitioner. That's the only thing I could honestly see working.
remember when jkr went full mask off and started acting evil and hp fans were like "ok we need to think carefully about the stuff we consume, how can we justify enjoying this series, how can we love it without supporting the author? should we try to separate art from artist or should we leave it be? isn't showing solidarity to trans folks more important? if we remain openly fans of this series will it show trans people we aren't safe or trustworthy?"
and then they decided that none of those questions really mattered and they continued to uncritically consume their stupid badly written children's books, and jkr has only gotten more nasty and hateful, and people only hate trans folks more, and now the answer to the last question is invariably YES. I don't trust any goddamn person who still loves Harry Potter in 2024 bc you've decided your nostalgia about a mediocre story written by a bigot is more valuable than the safety and wellbeing of trans people 🫶🖕
asexuals are queer pass it on
An informational comic I drew last year for my Comics 2 class, reposting it to my new account (had to jump ship from the old one unfortunately) with some minor grammar changes and learned my lesson in adding watermarks! Happy early pride :)
hey. hey you.
look at that character you’re headcanoning as a trans man.
are you headcanoning him that way because you think it’s interesting, or because he’s a twink and acts kind of feminine?
if you write about him, do you treat him the same way you do your other characters, or is he distinctly separated?
can he handle himself, or is he always the damsel in distress? do you have someone bigger and stronger than him always save him?
do you make him act more childish or confused? is he super innocent and needs someone wiser to guide him?
are you willing to explore what his transness means, or do you just think it makes him hotter?
did you make him trans because you wanted to write him as the bottom? is he trans because you wanted him pregnant without "technically" writing mpreg?
are you willing to headcanon big strong men as trans men? old men? not stereotypically attractive men? men of color? fat men? disabled men?
is his transness a part of him or do you just treat it is a prop?
on the other hand, is he more than just his transness, or is that all there is to him?
do you include other queer and trans people in your work? how do you treat them in your writing?
how do you treat actual trans men? trans men who dont pass? trans men who do? who dont feel comfortable being perceived as feminine? who present in a more feminine way? who identify as more than just a man? who arent just white twinkish silly feminine men? who are kids, meaning you can’t just sexualize them? who are more than just props to be used within a story to push the plot along?
are you willing to listen to trans men who speak out on their issues, or does that seperate them too far from the fantasy you’ve concocted about them?
how do you treat trans men?
op is a monogamous person who felt they haven't seen enough posts acknowledging this part of the queer community outside of non-monogamous circles and blogs
Some of you need to learn that there are bigger issues then indis with complex identities that you don't understand.
"But they say they're achillean and use she/her pronouns !!" Good for her, there's bigger issues. "But they're a lesboy !!" That's cool, there are bigger issues. "But they use mew/mewself pronouns irl with no 'normal' pronouns !!" So glad mew found pronouns that suit mew, there's worse things in the world. "They identify as the literal concept of time !!" That's so swagful, indis are dying. "They identify as transmasc and transfem !!" They're probably intersex, plus, there's bigger issues. "But- !" It. Doesn't. Matter. There are individs who are suffering and you'd rather argue about the validity of a stranger's identity and gatekeep labels. Focus your energy on things that actually matter instead of the validity of complex identities.
