Day 2: “Damn Your Eyes”

Is it a stolen glance, seductive gaze, or shameless stare which makes your heart beat faster?

Two scenes jump to mind.

The first is from 2.22. Liz went to Tom for help and instead of running to save himself, he stayed to help her. I think Liz was always in love with Tom, always knew him, but I think she realized it in increments over the course of S2 and S3. This was one of those moments when she realized that all she wanted was him. He was home.

The second is from 3.17 just before their second wedding. I love the way she’s teasing him, how she misquotes Lewis Carroll to him, and just how much they love each other in that moment. She didn’t need perfect. She had him.

The Blacklist Rare Ships Appreciation Week

With the endless tragedies the characters of the Blacklist are continuously asked to cope with, I thought I’d give them an oasis of undisturbed love and happiness. See them bask in each other’s gaze in this drama-free comedy series.

Ressler/his badge

It was a glorious sunny day, and Donald Ressler would have noticed that if he wasn’t so anxious.

He could swear that enormous goosebumps crawled up and down his spine, curling over his legs, but he forced himself to stand still.

“Donald John Ressler, step forward.”

His legs were a bit itchy when he obeyed the order. At first, he thought he couldn’t take a single step, but then he took a second step, third… The FBI’s Director Newman didn’t seem impressed at all—he just held out his hand and gave Ressler a small brown box. Ressler froze, looking at the box like a child at Christmas, and then opened it.

“DEPARTMENT OF INVESTIGATION.”

“SPECIAL AGENT DONALD RESSLER”

“Congratulations, son,” Newman murmured. “Now move on, I’m busy”.

“Oh… Oh, yes, I’m sorry,” Ressler took a step back. His legs were still trembling, but he looked at his new badge with awe, charmed by the bronze flare of its shape. Donald brushed his fingertips over it, as gentle as he could, and the realization struck him.

Special Agent Donald Ressler.

His heart did a jolt.

Nothing new, lads)) I think, it’s all about James Carpinello and his foxy eyes x)) He literally looks at Ressler like “Who is this handsome man?” And I was like “aaaawwwwww THIS IS TENSION” xD
