Chapter 2: Cursed
The ringing in her ears brought Omega slowly back to the land of the living as the once intense pressure of her body dulled away into soreness. She tried to reach for lula, her stuffed animal, but no matter where she reached she couldn't seem to obtain what she was looking for.
Omega groaned as she decided sheâd have to get up; Pulling herself more and more awake she peeled her eyes open, trying to adjust to the intense blur she had from the deep and very restless sleep she just tried to receive.Â
When her eyesight returned she froze as the world around her seemed yards away, the gunner seat-made room was as big as a kaminoan facility and when she slowly looked to her left the suddenly hulking figure of her lula doll rested at least a few arm lengths away.
âNo thisâŚThis is just a dream- Just a dream..â Omega choked out as she shook her head, slapping her cheeks and trying not to cry more, âWake up Omega- Wake up!â
Everytime she tried to open her eyes and return to her normal life she was met with the same overwhelming sight of a giant stuffed animal, with an even more enormous space she had once called her cubby room.
She had shrunk!
Her breathing picked up as she started to panic at the intense realization what she was witnessing was more than likely real, Omega shakily scooted back as her head towered up and up to everything so big but she had forgotten the ledge of her room as she felt her hands slip away and her world fall back.
She let out a terrified scream as she fell backwards through heavy silk curtains to her room and only then managed to grip onto metal last minute.
Omega was now dangled on the gunner's mount, only a few inches tall, and very much fearing for her life!
She cried out as her hands started to ache and she was failing fast to pull herself up, âHUNTE- AH!âÂ
She cried out in horror as time slowed and she started to make the long and fatal fall down-
Before she could hit the cold metal floor of the ship a blast of air swooped around her and with a rough and quick thud she landed in a ball of warmth that enclosed tight around her.
Was she dead? She couldnât see anything nor moveâŚmaybe this wasâŚbut then?
Why could she hear nothing but a loud pounding of a heart?
Omega seemed to have stayed in the bunched up position wherever she was for a good bit because once she realized she was in fact not dead she slowly touched her warm and leathery prison only for it to suddenly jolt.
Slowly light broke through and she had to shield her eyes as finally she realized what saved her was a handâŚa giant hand.
The returning âsmallâ panic returned as she fumbled back hazily against large fingers that shakily curled upwards to keep her from falling more. The enormous figure belonging to the hand finally cleared in her sight as the wide and shocked eyes of Hunter looked right down at her.
âOmeâŚOmega?â He breathed out, seeming very out of breath and in shock to have in one moment been fast asleep in his bunk to being shot awake and lurching forward in instinct to catch a nowâŚtiny Omega.
âHun-te-no! St-Stay back!â Omega scrambled wildly in her own sheer panic, unable to comprehend everything going on as she fought against the growing grip securing her.
âOmega! Omega itâs ok- itâs ok itâs me!â Hunter hushed his voice as he tried to coax the tiny girl down and keep her from hurting herself further but her panicked expression couldn't seem to read him so he used a tactic he had once used before when she was plagued with nightmaresâŚ
Omega felt herself be pressed against something firm and warm as a heartbeat now sounded in her ears, she squeezed her tear filled eyes tight as a small pressure on her back ever so slightly shifted into a rubbing pattern.
Was she safeâŚ? This felt familiarâŚ
Hunter sighed in relief as the small struggle stopped and Omega eased into his chest little by little. He could hear the hammering of her little pulse and even more through the heavy scent of fear, It broke his heartâŚ
After a short bit of simply laying on the floor and very gently rubbing a thumb on her back he could feel her pulse slow as if she had entered sleep. Only then did he decide it was safe to pull her away into cupped hands to observe what exactly all of this was.
Omega laid curled in his coarse hands, her chest falling and rising slowly. She had to have only been five inches and piecing some things together Hunter figured she must have fallen out of her bed through her own unrealized panic. He looked behind him at the bunks where not a single of his brothers had even budged from their sleep to the commotion, He was now beyond grateful for his enhanced senses and even more for his fast reflexes.
Hunter knew heâd have to go about the next few hours more carefully; Waking Omega, Telling the boys, restraining Tech, finding some sort of solution to whatever this wasâŚ
For now to ease his mind heâd settle with taking a quiet moment to think and let Omega sleep, Atleast now somewhere secure.
Slowly getting up Hunter carefully held Omega to his chest as he went to the front of the ship where things would be more quiet.
Another one of my old art pieces, though not as old, of my sonna with Mizu from Blue Eye Samurai. Which is one of my favorite series ever, I only recommend it if you are of proper age! đâ¤ď¸

_Chapter 2_
Bright light greets Omegaâs vision as she comes to consciousness, noting the aching that seems to be present all over her body. She sits up, her hands messaging her temple and eyes. Her last moments feel a bit muddled. Omega assesses herself, beside the aching, she is just cold. Too cold. She gets a proper look in front of her and stops in confusion, why is the floor stretched⌠so⌠Far⌠out? Her eyes glance further up and her breath hitches as it dawns on her what lays before her.
âWhat.. the. Kriff?! I- W-what in the-â Her voice barely above a whisper and shaky as she takes in the sight of her family's kitchen bigger, much, much bigger than it should be. Cabinets and shelves loom over her like the tallest buildings of Coruscant, the ceiling impossibly stretched far above her. A mix of awe and dread, mostly dread, left a deep, swirling pit in her stomach, as if a trap door had sprung open beneath her and dropped her flailing body into an endless void. Thoughts start to plague her, her breathing quickens, hands clench the sides of her head as she curls in on herself. Before her mind could continue its growing panic, her wrist comm goes off.
âHavoc 2? Do you copy?.... Omega?â Hunterâs voice sounds from her device, A tone of panic apparent. Not good, he is worried. Though it is enough to push a little bit of the panic at bay. For now that is.
âHu-Havoc 1, I-I cop-copy. Whatâs the.. The situation?â she curses her stuttered response. Heâll definitely notice her stressed tone.
âJust wanted to check in on you, werenât answering for a minute. Are you ok? You donât sound alright. Whatâs⌠whatâs the matter Omega? Are you in danger?!â concern rings through. He caught onto her panic. Kriff.
âYou-you could s-say that? I guess?â She responds, she doesn't know how she should proceed without scaring him one way or another. But what else could she do!? She was impossibly small, smaller than one should ever find themselves!
âWhat do you mean by that Omega?â His question, laced with palpable confusion.
Omega took a second to think out her response, taking a breath she continues, âIâm not in d-danger, just, a bit⌠a bit out of sorts. I have NO idea what is going on, b-but⌠I donât re-really think itâs something I can possibly explain over a-a comm, more or s-so⌠show in person. I am sorry, but I am just âŚjust, really, really freaked out right now Hunter.â She finishes, her breathing less hectic, not completely, but itâs better than nothing. She at least feels a lil bit less lightheaded, something she just realized.
The comm is quiet for a few seconds, a small light beeping from the device on her wrist. She hears him take a breath from the other side, âSo⌠You are not in any danger. But you are freaked out and donât know how to explain it?â He parrots back to Omega.
âBasically. I-â she starts back when Hunter cuts in.
âIâll com Cross and Tech to check on ya, You are still at the house, right?â His statement cuts into her, the thought of the others seeing her, or her seeing them, hadnât crossed her mind, till now.
Her breathing quickens again, hands becoming clammy and sweaty. âYe- Wa-wait! Hunter, I don- I donât know if th-thatâs a-â Her attempts at pleading were for not as the call went dead. It was too late. They were gonna see, they were gonna see her diminished size. And she⌠she was gonna see their looming forms. If the lower cabinets are enough to make her stomach drop with anxiety, what would happen if she were to face them!? The sound of the front door creaking open alerted Omega back into reality, her body going off of instinct as she darted, aiming to hide under the lower cabinet ledge. Her heartbeat drowned out her thoughts, her body stuck in a fight or flight mode. Her breathing was dangerously loud with her heaving for oxygen. Eyes wide as she heard their booming voices calling for her. Their footfalls like earthquakes that shook her very being to the core.
âMiss Omega?! Are you here?â Tech seemed to impossibly shout louder than she thought was possible. She brought up her hands to cover her ears, hoping for some solas that it will help with the noise. Their footsteps echoed throughout the house as they checked every room till they seemed to stop.
Even in another part of the house, she could hear their conversation, âWhere could she be?! Hunter said that she was home!â Crosshairs unmistakable voice boomed with his usual raspiness.
âI haven't the slightest clue as to where she may possibly be at as we have searched the whole house.â Tech states in his usual fashion.
Omega could possibly hear Crossâ eyes rolling, âWhat do you propose we do? Got any bright ideaâs Mr. Glasses?!â He snarked back, though she could pick up worry lacing his snarkiness.
âNo need to worry Crosshair, as Hunter requested of me to set up a series of hidden cameras around for safety purposes.â Techâs statement sent Omegaâs panic into overdrive. Camera!? Theyâll see her, Theyâll find her, TheyâllâŚ. Theyâll⌠She doesnât know what will happen when they find her, but she doesnât want to know. Her fear has taken over any and all rational thought. She canât seem to think about anything good coming out of her brothers, her Vod, finding her in this state.
The house is deathly quiet as she presumes that Tech has pulled up the cameraâs video feeds and is going over them for signs of her. After what felt like forever, she picks up on a quiet, yet surprised âohâ from Tech. Followed by a clear as day âWhat in actual Kriff did we just watch?â from Crosshair. Taking into account that they must have seen her diminished size on the feed, she bolts out of her hiding spot, racing as fast as her legs can go towards the wide open door. The moment she is running, she can feel their thunderous footfalls racing to her position. She canât face them, not like this. She exerts more force into her steps as tears blur her view of the door. They are getting dangerously close, She reckons she is only about halfway to the door when they make it to the living room hallway.
âOmega!!â A shout, so loud that she violently flinches, nearly tripping, sounds from Tech, or was it Cross? That doesnât matter as her only goal is to make it out the door. Right when she is about 4 feet from the door, it slams shut at an alarming speed, her ears ringing. Realization hits when a deafening step crashes to her side and the sight of long, outstretched fingers comes into view.
âNO!â she jolts from the path of the giant hand and darts to the side, now setting her sights on the couch. As tears smear her face, she doesnât seem to catch onto the hand that reaches for her from behind. Until it's too late.
Another older scribble portrait piece I've done, did this when my parents had gotten tickets for one of his shows for my birthday. Enjoy fellow Rats, Tutter out! đâ¤ď¸
