NRT “Share Your Moving Story” Scholarship Program

Share your story today for the chance to win a scholarship to the college of your choice.To support high school students and their families who have experienced a move, NRT Relocation & Referral Services is proud to announce the “Share Your Moving Story” Scholarship Program. The contest is open to high school students expected to graduate in or before the spring semester of 2018. Up to ten scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to put towards college education (total $20,000).

This Kentucky high school banned dreadlocks, cornrows and twists.

Butler Traditional High School in Louisville, Kentucky shocked some parents when they distributed a dress code that banned students from sporting “dreadlocks, cornrows and twists.” The code also banned extreme hair colors and highlighting on girls and any hair coloring for boys.

Kentucky State Representative-elect Attica Scott slammed the dress code and tweeted out a picture of it. (Above)

“We feel that a student’s academic success is directly correlated to appropriate attire and appearance,” the dress code reads.

The ACLU of Kentucky fired back at the school’s justification with 2 brilliant tweets.

Heroic Army Veteran Stood Up To School Shooter, Got Shot 5 Times

Stories of bravery have started to surface amid the terrible tragedy that left 10 dead and seven more injured at an Oregon community college.Students in Roseburg were starting their fourth day of classes at Umpqua Community College when shots rang out Thursday. 

“It’s my son’s birthday today,” the 30-year-old told the shooter.

Electoral College Members Request Intelligence Briefing On Russia, Trump

Ten Electoral College members have requested an intelligence briefing on Russia’s meddling in the U.S. presidential election, a week before the group is scheduled to formally certify the results. The bipartisan group made their case to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper in an open letter Monday, arguing that the information is essential to their duties as electors who are tasked to “elect a president who is constitutionally qualified and fit to serve.”

35, 35 electors would need to flip their votes from Trump to Clinton to change the election’s outcome…
