I do like writing fight scenes so there are going to be mentions of pretty graphic violence. I write reader insert fics for whatever I feel like, but it’s mostly Chris Evans, Henry Cavill, and Sebastian Stan characters. I will also probably have more wlw fics as well, so look forward to those! I’m up for anything! I do my best to keep descriptions of the reader as vague as possible to keep things inclusive, but will sometimes add descriptors of easily changed aesthetic things (i.e. tattoos, piercings, etc.). Again, if you have trouble fully immersing yourself in one of my fics due to a reader description, please let me know! I welcome constructive criticism.

Mob Boss! Steve Rogers x Female Reader

Summary | Scrawny Steve Rogers has been your best friend since elementary school. Despite his powerful mob boss of a father, known only to those as the King of New York, you’re his protector and confidante. As the time passes and your lives go different routes, the tables have turned and you need him to protect you.

Steve inspects the body, leaning down to see Rollins’ handiwork. He mouths an expletive at the sight. It was a clean break. This meant that she trusted him to let him inside her house. He doesn’t look at Bucky, Sam or Peter when he finally stands, fists at his sides.

“What do we know?”

“Forensics says it was at least a day. No sign of forced entry from what my guys are saying,” Bucky mutters. “He’s sending a message.”

“Yeah.”

Steve tightens his jaw at the sight of the woman sprawled out on the kitchen floor, the yellow caution tape still hanging from the walls.

“You can’t let her go to the funeral,” Bucky reminds him.

Even though Steve knows that Bucky is right, it does him no good to think about how you will react when you find out. You’ve been mourning, picking out flowers and trying to be strong. It isn’t until you end up in his arms at night that you shake, tears spilling down your cheeks.

You still think it’s your fault.

Steve can’t wait to kill him.

“I know,” Steve answers after a moment.

“She’s gonna raise hell when you tell her.”

When the coroner comes, Sam places a hand on Steve’s shoulder as he nods quickly.

“I know you knew her,” Sam begins, Steve’s eyes never leaving her body. “And I know you’re mad as hell and that’s okay too. But you can’t lose sight of what’s waiting for you back home. She needs you.”
