I’m just saying I had an image of a screenshot of it for like a month now just imagining it as Rumble & Frenzy towards Skywarp and I finally pursued this endeavor. They even have little golf outfits cuz they’re dedicated to the club (“whatever keeps them entertained”, Soundwave said) except the “club” is just them coming up with endless ways to bully Skywarp and no one has stopped them yet cuz they would probably end up their next target, these foul beasts

Kyo as Muchisute Tokkuriji (Shoujo Tsubaki)
For anyone who was still doubting that Kyo’s FROM DEPRESSION TO____ [mode of DUM SPIRO SPERO] outfit was a “straight up Muchisute Tokkuriji” cosplay as an Anon put it, here you go:
Anime-like contact lenses

The bandages and forearms
Some adjustments had to be made since Kyo actually has forearms compared to Muchisute and that his mouth has to be free in order to sing.
For his forearms, Muchisute apparently lost them to leprosy, but Wikipedia mentions that some adaptations have him as a burn victim instead. That could somewhat match the dark spots Kyo painted near his hands and wrists,
The overall outfit
Muchisute has a black jacket draped over his shoulders to somewhat hide his amputated arms. Kyo opted for a cape instead because yeah, in real life, wearing a jacket with limp but stiff sleeves looks ridiculous. Always go for a cape instead.
And then you have the military hat with the single star at the front.
No irremediable proof, right? But guess what came out in May 2016, three months before Dir en grey’s tour?
The first live-action movie adaptation of Shoujo Tsubaki, combined with a themed café that placed a lot of focus on a blue eyeball, somewhat like the one that Kyo drew in his left palm.
Overall, I think that the fact is that Shoujo Tsubaki had a big impact on Kyo, and he must have been thrilled to see this renewed attention to the old ero-guro manga.
