sunrise on the reaping in a nutshell:
*something horrible happens*
haymitch: how can I make this about my girlfriend?
Writing isn't the hobby. Being insane about little fake people is the hobby. Writing is just the only outlet i have for that
Why do all the old "modern" movies make me want to be a rich white woman in New York, walking down the street in an overcoat and heels and being a fashion designer for a famous magazine?
when you write and the words look strange, it looks like you are writing letters and not words.
Reading "sunrise on the reaping" and reading about the Donner twins as a person with a twin is different kind of pain.
Only a field trip with Zuko can fix my life now.
Writing because murder is illegal, going to space is expensive and magical creatures apparently don't exist...
why is michael in the bathroom literally michael holden's song whas up with tha
Lionsgate will do anything but cast an Indigenous person as someone from District 12
just woke up and already had enough of today
We now have a Wyatt Callow and I want every one to remember I will die for him and despite having read the book, i will cry like i didnt know what was coming
you want me to believe in the legitamacy of award shows but rachel zegler didn't win a single award for her role as lucy gray baird???
About Wyatt's casting...... yes, they cast the only character who is smart and good at math as an Asian boy. Holy fuck.
That's what makes me angry. Jessup Diggs, because he was described as strong, big and a miner, then they cast a black actor. But when it was Wyatt's turn (who comes from the same background as Jessup) they put an Asian boy because they have the stereotype of being intelligent.
Every minute I'm less discouraged by this movie.
And I want to make it clear that I have no problem with Wyatt's actor. I'm just saying that the decisions they make for the film reveal their worldview and I think not making Wyatt dark-skinned is quite symbolic. Just like Haymitch isn't brown, like Katniss isn't either.

”even lying in bed is stressful.”
Carol Last you fucking cunt you are going to burn in hell
I need a series of I Was Born For This. Like every day of the week in the book is a different episode. I NEED THIS
I Was Born For This is best book ever!!!
My hyperfixations are consuming me, I apologize to everyone.
people who don't experience hyperfixation don't know what it feels like to hyperfixate so much on something that it becomes not only your subject of obsession but also your source of happiness and literally the main reason why you still keep going; literal source of strength and life.
shoutout to my favorite fictional characters, favorite people, favorite ships, favorite movies, favorite tv shows, fanfics and archive of our own
most important part of the writing process actually is when you loop a single song on max volume and stare at the word document and imagine the characters doing things for 14 hours. this is known as getting in the zone
what does "one day, I am gonna grow wings" mean to you?
remember, patience kills.
in my eyes I see it as saying that ur gonna die one day
Not trying to sound woke asf. But why can't fictional characters be regular old friends, teammates, co-workers or found-family without being shipped. (do y'all serial shippers don't have friends and people you care deeply about?)
What is this obsession with putting everyone together?
everytime someone says that your romantic partner should really, ideally, be your best friend i die a little inside.
“you’re a writer, can you explain your process?” yes. first, i panic. then i procrastinate. then, in a fit of productivity at 3 a.m., i create chaos.
Yes I want to write my story but my story doesn't want to be written so what the fuck am I supposed to do about that huh?
writing? oh, i’m definitely writing. in my head. during the most inconvenient times. like in the shower or when i’m about to fall asleep. actual typing? no, no, we don’t do that here.
“What if I write it and it’s bad-”
WHAT IF YOU WRITE IT AND ITS GOOD? WHAT IF YOU WRITE IT AND ITS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED? WHAT THEN????
the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.
if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.
sometimes the best writing advice is "just let it be bad." revolutionary. terrifying. but it works.
