Letting the BakuSquad Boys Help with Your Hair

Took a break from the smut to write some self-indulgent fluff with my favorite group of dudes! 100% inspired by my own hair struggles. 

Bakugo

First of all, say what you want, but in my head, this man wakes up in the morning, takes a shower, shakes his head, and he’s ready to go. He’s one of those people whose hair just sort of falls how he wants it. Sufficient to say, Bakugo doesn’t know your pain. He’s willing to learn, albeit very reluctantly.

 As someone dedicated to being the best at everything he does, helping with your hair is no different. Bakugo’s going to claim that he does it because he’s tired of hearing you complain about your arms hurting, but truthfully, he just wants to show off how good of a boyfriend he is.

The first time he tries to help you detangle? Terrible. Awful. 0/10 Experience. This man dove straight in with a comb and almost snatched every strand out of your scalp AND had the AUDACITY to tell you that he wasn’t too rough; you were just sensitive.

He’s going to grumble about it, but he means well. Just sit him in front of a couple of YouTube tutorials.

He’s a quick learner too! Once you get past those initial bumps, it’s like having a live-in hairdresser. Wash days are much MUCH easier.

Has absolutely on more than one occasion threatened to blow some rando’s hands off for trying to touch your hair. You laugh about it, but there’s like a 50-50 chance that he’s being serious.

“They’ve lost their rights to hands…”

“We should…we should probably just leave.”

“Come on, at least a couple of fingers.”

“Katsuki, no!”

Kirishima

Listen, Kirishima has been trying to get his hands in your hair ever since y’all started dating. It’s just so big and curly, and please let him play in your hair. How are you going to tell your sweet shark boy, no?

Tell him you want to bleach and dye your hair, and you need his help? You would think you had asked him to marry you honestly if this doesn’t turn into a disaster you just might have to.

“What color should I do?”

“RED!”

You don’t choose red, you monster. He’s so disappointed for all of two minutes before he’s back to being excited about “helping.”

The bleaching process is…rough. Not because he doesn’t know what he’s doing but because he keeps getting distracted by gently pulling your curls and watching them spring back into place. You scold him. He apologizes and goes back to work on another section. Gets distracted again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

At the end of the whole thing, he’s going to tell you that your hair looks like a pretty fluffy (color) cloud and mush his face into it. It’s the cutest thing ever, just let him have his moment.

He’s also an expert at taking care of color-treated hair, so your follicles are in great hands with Kirishima. Texts you pictures of hair products he thinks you’d like whenever he comes across them. Deep conditioning/movie dates become your new thing.

Sero

First of all, Sero’s the only one in the whole group that has good common sense. Your life and edges are in excellent hands with him.

@reinawritesbnha​ and I headcanon that he grows his hair out and wears it in braids when he gets older. So between his own hair upkeep and learning to do different tricks with his tape, he’s got the most nimble fingers known to man. Your days of struggling to twist or braid your hair behind your back are over!

You introduce him to the beauty of wearing silk scarves to bed to preserve your hair, and he swears that you are an actual genius. 

Quickly develops a spidey sense for when your scarf comes off in the middle of the night. He’s also perfected retying it without waking you too.I told you, this man is going to keep you looking just as fresh as he does. 

Always buys you scarves with his hero costume colors on them. He actually had them custom made, but he’ll never tell you that.

“I like knowing I’m always on your mind babe” *finger guns*

Kaminari

I know you’re tempted to let your boyfriend help you with your hair, and honestly, nobody can blame you for being on the brink of giving in. Denki has a very convincing puppy dog pout that’s second to none.

I’m warning you now. It’s not a good idea. Please don’t give in to him. He’s got the attention span of a butterfly, don’t let this man near your hair.

“You think fish have feelings? Because I read this thing online…” and you notice that the straightener has passed over the same piece of hair WAY more times than necessary while he debates whether or not goldfish can have a connection to their owners. He really does mean well, but it’s safer if he just watches.

Having a good day, where your hair isn’t frizzy for once in your life? “Hey babe, watch this!”

Before you can stop him from showing you this neat new trick he’s learned with his quirk, your hair is standing on end.

Despite his ridiculous proclivities, Denki’s very sweet, and he loves you a lot. Will go out of his way to tell you that you look beautiful, especially on days when your hair isn’t quite coming out like you want it to. 

He may be shitty at actually helping with your routine but he absolutely excels at being your personal hype-man.

it was a school night and you were both chilling on the bed in his dorm

you were watching derra and ken videos and came across the one where they were both ignoring each other

you looked over at bakugou and smirked ‘i’m bout get this nigga.’ thinking to yourself

bakugou looked over, “the hell you smirking for?”

you literally did the snake and turned your back. he raised his eyebrow, “uh. hello!” he said ‘i know this girl hear me’

you were cheesed out on your phone, but you knew damn well you were bout to get fucked out

fed up already, bakugou grabbed your shoulder and turned you over. he hovered over you with an annoyed expression

“what the fuck! you deaf or some shit! i know you hear me!” he yelled, but you continue to stay on your phone

“so you go ignore me and get on your phone? okay.” he said snatching that bitch out your hand and threw it across the room

“bakugou!” you yelled sitting up, but was pushed back down. “no! why the hell you was ignoring me!” he said

“i was doing a prank! but you threw my damn phone! if it’s broke you paying for it!” you yelled getting up.

“should’ve never pranked me then.” he said still slightly annoyed. but now he was amused seeing you annoyed now. “fucking agg.” you said with a frown

you didn’t even lay down in the bed before he grabbed you and brought you close to his face. “you betta watch that mouth.” he said looking you down

“whatever.” you said with a eye roll, pushing him off. but you knew dam well that turned you on. you bit you lip to keep yourself from smiling

Izuku

you went over to your boyfriend midoroya dorm to hang out with him. but all he seemed to be worried about was some damn new strategies to discuss and show all might

you sighed heavily as you watch your boyfriend write in his book. you started scrolling through your phone when you came arcoss a video

derra and ken posted a new video where she pretended to be sick and pass out

you looked up at midoroya as he still wrote in book. ‘fuck it’

you stood and groaned a bit, holding your head. that immediately caught his attention

“s/o you okay?” he asked with worried eyes. you almost felt bad....almost

“i’m fine.” you said taking a step, but you wobbled a bit. midoroya quickly stood up and held your waist “love. are you sure?” he said looking you up and down

“yeah. yeah. i-i think i just need some water.” you said looking up at him. he frantically shook his head, stumbling out the room to get to the kitchen

you laughed quietly, “oh shit.” you said, but you started to fell bad cause of how sweet he is. but you wanted some attention

he stumbled back in with glass of water. “here. drink this.” he said not giving you a chance to drink it before he held you chin and made you drink it

you almost choked but managed. “thank you baby.” you said taking the glass and setting it on his desk. “are you feeling better?” he said

you shook your head. “yeah...much...be-“ you begin to fall forward. midoriya quickly taking action and caught you his arms

“s/o!” he exclaimed worriedly. quickly setting you on the bed he begin to panic. he just started checking your pluse and yelling your name and mumbling.

finally you couldn’t take it and begin to laugh startling the poor boy “oh my god! baby, i’m so sorry!” you said through your laughs

midoriya was still a bit frightened until he realized it was prank and pouted. cheeks red, “why’d you do that?” he said

“you weren’t pay attention to me. so i decided to pull this prank.” you said crossing your arms.

midoriya took the pout of his face before getting in the bed next to you. “i’m sorry. i just get too focused sometimes.” he said blushing slightly

he was so damn cute to handle

“you know. you could’ve done something else to caught my attention.” he said, causing you to look with a raised eyebrow

“like what?” you said. he grabbed your chin and a placed a short kiss on you lips. “i like kisses.”

“BOY YOU GETTING BOLD!” you laughed, but really satisfied. that outburst caused him to turn red and mumble incoherent things.

so, how was my first headcannon? well anything for that matter. i was inspired to write seeing my other black sisters out there and decided to hop on this wagon 💕💕

i’ve been seeing this situation recently. and i wanna see where he said this. cause i was looking it and didn’t see nothing where he did he doesn’t like when people “urbanize” his characters...

hi im the anon from liltodo and mythiccheroacademi's blog and they both reacted very negatively to me letting them know about how Hori feels about people urbanizing his characters, but you seem more reasonable so im hoping i can convince you to make your content more inclusive to people who aren't black because it's kinda racist to not include white people who enjoy bnha just as much as blacks

with all due respect and don’t take this the wrong way, i don’t agree with what you said. there are PLENTY of stories that are inclusive when it comes to race, gender, skin tone and sex! However, there are more stories that favor the “pale, blue eyed and straight haired” self insert readers. there’s nothing wrong with that because that’s just how the writer wrote their stories. but for you to say that it’s pretty “racist” to exclude WHITE people? i’m so sorry but i just had to laugh for a second. And also I’m pretty sure that the author of MHA isnt worried about this corner of the world lmao. just say you’re racist and go bby.

when you arrived at the survey corps. you were obviously the black sheep amongst the rest. so everywhere you went, people stared

but did you care? nope. you learned to keep your head up and be the bad bitch you are

not only were you different cause you were black. you had the curves and look. you also were one of the strongest along with mikasa and annie

you had to be cause people doubt you and talked down on you. so you had to prove them wrong

meeting levi the first time was when he saved mikasa from the titan. you stared at him with one thought in your head ‘damn. he look good asf’👀

as time went on. you started to get more attracted to levi. but you told yourself it wasn’t going to turn into nothing more because he probably doesn’t like you. ( or because you’re black)

but you were wrong. levi noticed you. not just because you’re different. frankly, he didn’t care about that. he noticed your skills, your attitude, and your personality. and that ass 🍑

he would watch you during dinner as you laughed and talked with eren and the gang. of course hange would notice and tease him.

same with you. you would stare at him and smile at his weird way he holds his tea.

you guys finally got together while facing the colossal titan. the titan struck you down into a tree.

you swore you were dead, until you felt yourself get lifted into someone arms. you attempted to open your eyes, but it was hard

“you trying to die on me already brat.” a voice you knew too well. “levi?..” your voice was barley heard

he looked down at you with a blank expression. but he was worried. “don’t close those eyes. and that’s an order.” he spoke

“i’m sorry. i’m going to die without telling you i feel.” you spoke. you were hazy right now, and telling levi was something you wanted to do die before you died

“you’re not going to die.” he spoke through gritted teeth. “i hope not. i wanna know...know...” you couldn’t even finish your sentence before you blacked out. not before hearing the yells of levi

the soft whispers of two people woke you up. trying to open your eyes was a def bad idea because of the bright light. “what the fuck.” you mumbled

“she’s up!” hange yelled happily. “damn.” you said cause of how loud she was. “could you not yell, you’re probably giving her a headache shitty glasses.” levi spoke

you looked over at levi, but he was already looking at you. you both just stared. “you look shitty.” he said

you were disappointed and annoyed that was the first thing he said. “well. i’m going to get you some water. i’ll be back!” hange yelled once again before leaving the room

you both stared at each other again. you were honestly embarrassed at yourself. you confessed to levi, even though you been planing on it. but definitely not today

“so we’re just going to stare at each other..” you mumbled looking away. levi raised his eyebrow. “well. i was waiting in you.” he said

“waiting on me for what?” you said now generally confused. “for a proper confession. you never finished what you were going to say.” he spoke nonchalantly.

you were shocked while he stood there with a blank expression and arms crossed. ‘why he gotta be so damn fine!’

but don’t be fooled. this man was fucking nervous

you cleared your thorat. “well. as you probably already now. i like you...a lot..and it’s okay if you do not feel the same. i completely understand.” you said trying to cover up your nervousness in your voice

the whole time. levi just staring at you. making you so fucking nervous

“i like you as well.” he spoke turning his head away. you can see his cheeks turn a bit red

“...oh my god..” you spoke in disbelief. that caused levi to turn back towards you. “what?” he said. “you’re blushing..you must really like me!” you said with a wide smile

“tch.” he said turning his head. this time with a small smirk. “so. what does this mean?” you asked feeling much better than you did before.

“it means. i can’t have a idiot of a girlfriend get killed by a titan she could’ve easily killed.”

“....girlfriend!!”

you two looked at the door. you laughed already knowing who it was. levi walked towards and yanked it open. “shitty glasses.” he growled

all she did was smile sheepishly before running off of tell everyone. but you didn’t care. you were now the girlfriend of humanity’s strongest soldier.

so you and shinsou have been going out for a lil while. like 4 months. and so far you guys have been really good, and you really really like each other

you both know much about each other. but something shinsou doesn’t know is to never bother you when you’re pissed

everyone else does though. if you’re just annoyed, that’s different. you can easily get out that funk

your day already started out bad. you woke up late and rushed to get ready, and then your hair wasn’t cooperating!

you were annoyed

you ended up showing up to class late. you walked in seeing everyone was munching on some damn donuts. so you like, “where’s mine?”

midoriya was the one who brought to just be nice. he had apologized. unfortunately he didn’t have anymore. which pissed you more since you didn’t eat breakfast

as the day continued. everything just keep going wrong. bakuhoe was pissing you off. you couldn’t focus on the lessons. your quirk was out of wack, which was fucking you up since you guys trained that day.

mind you shinsou has been texting you, but you ignored him since you didn’t want to walk to anyone at the moment

finally it was the end to the day and you could go back to your dorm and throw yourself in your bed. trudging to your dorm, an annoyed look on your face

you siged in relief once you walked in. jumping slightly hearing someone clear their thorat

“i decided to make my presence know since you haven’t talked to me all day.” shinsou said as he laid on your bed, a book in his hand. but his eyes were focused on you

“oh. my bad.” you said throwing your booksack in the corner. “my bad?” shinsou said with an raised eyebrow

“yeah. i just had a bad day.” you spoke, not wanting to talk about it. “well. if you texted me back and told me, i could’ve helped you feel better.” shinsou said moving to the edge of the bed

this time you didn’t respond. you knew if you did you were going to go off. “you didn’t even come sit with me at lunch. you walked straight past me.” he continued

“you know i can’t read your mind, so tell me what’s wr-“

“damn! if you would shut the fuck and stop bothering me about it, then i can fucking tell you!” you snapped
