So this is a bit dark but I got inspired by bunch of

those tiktoks from my little Pony infection au's And when looking at the egg I kind Of saw A opportunity. So how I'm thinking the virus works is it's spread through a thorn either from someone else infected or straight from the egg. Basically if you reject the egg either someone infected Or someone who pushes you into the egg Basically if you Get pricked by a thorn or God forbid a thorn in you. You have Depending on your strength maybe a couple days to get to a holy source of water or fire. Basically the virus will start to make you feel tired and make you just kind of Want to sleep and you can't do that because that is the main way people get To the final stages Either that or they get paranoid.How you know someone is in the final stages of the infection is the thorns on them and their flower Crown The thorns can be hidden but the flower crone unless you have a really good hat it can't be. The virus works to get your head And what's it's Basically impossible not to progress to stage 5. So yeah that's my take on this thing that popped into my head( Sorry for any spelling mistakes <on paper>or if something is worded weird I voice typed to this because read it decided it would be funny to delete this 3 times:>)

A little comic to sort of rework the ending a bit better ish. Some inspiration from @sicklyseraphnsuch's writing here. Some notes in the cut!

Ok, so I wasn't the biggest fan of the show's execution of the ending. Thought it was underwhelming, spent time in the wrong places, and accidentally made Simon carry a bit more blame than he should've.

My fixes would've been to smoosh more moments of Simon learning this lesson + his importance in his universe earlier in Winter King + The Star. Ep 9 jumpcut to the bus sequence again, sans the letting betty go bit, as it's revealed he's in Golb's presence. Cue an entire episode flashing through his and Betty's lives, because I think we never got to really hammer into Simon that life is worth living/moving on with despite their mistakes (he realises those mistakes himself earlier, and we don't need that Casper Nova nonsense.) Bla bla bla Ep 10, after a proper apology, thank you, and goodbye, we can satisfactorily blow Simon home etc. Half of the remainder ep to answer burning questions about how him + Fionna + Cake are healing. Anyway. Obviously I can't do those cinematic things in a comic, and I admit the script in this one could be cleaner/tighter but whatever haha. Enjoy! Please don't repost elsewhere thank youuuu

Please be kinder to yourself with your self ships and self inserts. Please know that your creations of either drawings, writings or anything in between is precious. I know it can be scary to share and post sometimes. I know the fear of others finding your work cringy can be daunting. But what you create is beautiful. The fact alone that you see these fictional characters and want to be apart of their stories and share your love for them is a wonderful thing. No matter if it for fun or coping, your self ships are special. Your self inserts are a form of self love, embrace that feeling of being gentle with yourself when it comes to it. You don’t owe anyone a reason to why these characters are special to you, only that they bring you joy and comfort.
