I love that Hozier didn't do a music video for Too Sweet, which could have been pretty and fun, but instead does a music video for the political song that is closer to his heart. I love that he dropped all subtlety with symbols and visuals so everyone can understand his message clearly. I love that he is anti-war and anti-captalist and that he made a song and video that can not be misinterpreted as cottage core bogman. Go Hozier!

2003:
In February 2003, two back-to-back incidents at RG Kar Medical College brought the total of suspicious deaths and suicides at the institution to four within a few years.
The cases include Arijit Datta (February 2003), who reportedly committed suicide by jumping off a hostel roof, and Praveen Gupta (February 2003), who survived a suicide attempt.
2016:
In October 2016, the decomposed body of RG Kar Medical College professor Gautam Pal, 54, was found in his locked South Dum Dum apartment. Police suspected a heart attack, as his bed was undisturbed, but blood stains, facial bruises, and the absence of a suicide note raised concerns. The contents of his stomach were preserved for poison testing.
2020:
In May 2020, 25-year-old trainee doctor Poulami Saha reportedly committed suicide by jumping from the 6th floor of the emergency building during the COVID-19 pandemic. While no suicide note was found, police indicated she had been suffering from depression. Conflicting reports suggested she may have jumped from the 11th floor, but the hospital did not confirm the suicide.
2023:
In January 2023, RG Kar Medical College student Sayan Mondal died during a trekking trip in Uttarakhand, marking a departure from previous incidents that occurred within the hospital. After reaching Brahmatal, Mondal collapsed while descending, suffering from severe breathing difficulties. He was rushed to Dewal Government Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
2023:
In August of 2023, intern Suvorojyiti Das, 23, from RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, died from an apparent drug overdose. The Tala Police classified the case as 'unnatural death,' attributing it to an antidepressant overdose, and found no suicide note or evidence of foul play. Das was discovered unconscious by his family and died in the hospital’s critical care unit after being rushed there.
2023:
In September 2023, a final-year medical student accused Sandip Ghosh of ignoring a ragging complaint and threatening him to falsely claim the issue was resolved. Despite Ghosh’s transfers, he frequently returned to the hospital. The student reported enduring physical and mental abuse over three years and criticized Ghosh’s inaction and favouritism towards certain students.

The fact is that this fucker Sandip Ghosh initially declared her death as a 'suicide' too, but I guess the evidence were too big for him to tamper with.

the fact that the principal of that fucking college never reported this to the police and tried to hide it and show it as a "suicide" case and after the police proved that it was a rape and murder case, bro fuckibg had the AUDACITY to go up and ask ki why was the woman at the hospital that late alone... THE FUCKING AUDACITY OF THIS MAN- and that's not all, he gave up his position of principal on aug 12 and when this asshole should've been interrogated by the police, he was freely allowed to become a principal of a new college js like that? + the same hall being renovated to help the rapists and the police not doing anything abt it???? how can a woman live in this country when not only rapists but the government and even the police go around helping the inhumane instead of protecting the women of this nation? 78th independence day tmrw but kya fayda of a nation where a woman is not secure and protected in her own country? when the mentality of people here is to go "why was she alone that late at night?" and not blaming the rapists and punishing them??? the postmortem report makes me cry, gives me fuckibg chills and I cannot imagine any woman going through anything like that- think of it, she was also her mum's pyaari daughter, her dad's pride, how would have they felt when they saw her daughter bleeding, half naked in a condition they never imagined and not even being allowed to take her body? Reasons I have lost fucking count of why we still need feminism:
-I woke up to "Revised guidelines for women's safety" this morning.Because of course carelessness on women's part is the goddamn problem here.
-We are still not hearing the words CAPITAL PUNISHMENT enough.
- I am seeing women all over the internet trying to justify their rage.
-And MOST MEN (coz God forbid all men be held accountable for their silence and apathy) are as clueless as ever.
The Kolkata case was a well planned revenge crime. The mamata banerjee's government have tampered the evidence and it will make CBI job difficult, I don't know whom they are trying to save, but this case is not what it looks like. I strongly feel that, this was done by some very powerful and influential people. This is the condition of law and order in this country. There is no difference between government and criminals. Our laws are only for rich and powerful, you can purchase anything with money; the laws, the government, the crime, everything! The middle/Lower class is born to suffer in this country. Criminals know that it is easy for them to escape and laws are there to protect them, so even if they do wrong, they will be free. Government knows that people will cry for few days, there will be candle march for few days and after that everything will come back to normal. So, nobody really cares about the weak in this country. It is a brutal crime to have 'HOPE" in a country like India. Our beloved PM Modi ji has not uttered a word on this case because there are no votes or maybe he does not watch news, raga opened his mouth after five days, opposition parties are just blaming eachother (nothing new), I want to ask each of them that women make half of their vote bank, if women of this country collapse, how will your country run?
And, after this horrifying case no man should ask for a female doctor for his wife when she is sick or pregnant. No female officer should give duties and serve in villages away from their home when everything is only about men and for men and by men. It is sick to see the amount of misogyny, patriarchal society and how rarely things have changed. We are still in the same loop, people.
Yesterday, a man tied his wife to bike and dragged her, imagine. This is the fate of women in this country who will celebrate independence day tomorrow. What kind of independence we have? I am woman and I don't feel safe in my house when some male guest visit us, I am told to wear certain kind of clothes inside my own fucking house, I am woman and I feel uncomfortable around men when I go out, I am not free, so it's clear that independence day is only for men, not for women. I ask where a woman should go? Should we hide ourselves in a room? Why do government talk about women empowerment when they can't give basic safety to their citizens. Men need to learn that they can't treat women like trash and get away with it. This is suffocating, death is better than a life that is lived with a constant fear.
Crime against women is crime against humanity.
